  1. Install applications in subdomain

I feel like the system is really backward in that it is so difficult just to install a subdomain and use it? The default feature for 'additional domains' only forwards to this domain... What is the point in that?

E.g. setting up wordpress in 'www.orders.lotuslabs.com.au'; should not be as complicated as it is.

  2. Restore MySQL application for Debian9 servers

I would like to have the possibility to use MySQL service on new Debian9 servers on DigitalOcean.
I've just created a new server and noticed that i can only choose three version of MariaDB.
    Thanks!

  3. Push and Pull Individual Tables and Folders between staging and live environment

Hello team, pushing and pulling individual tables and folders between staging and the live environment is better compared to transferring the entire database or files. Because in Woocommerce, pushing the database might lead to loss of orders made in between.

  4. Multiple databases per application

I'd like to suggest that you implement the possibility to have multiple databases per application.

  5. Virtual Machine is an application

Virtual Machine is an application that provides the user with a simulated environment that acts like the real thing. Instead of accessing the root user they access a virtual root user account.

This is the same as taking a Windows computer and creating a special program that runs Mac software on top of it. Windows is still there and fully functional. But one can activate the Mac VM and run Mac software on top of it. It is Virtual and therefore does not touch the root operating system.

What I am requesting/suggesting is that you install a Linux Virtual Machine…

  6. auto update application to higher MySQL version if required by the destination server

When cloning an application to a destination server that has a higher MySQL version than the source, auto update the application to the higher version.

This would save so much time and hassle of creating an intermediary server, cloning to it, upgrading MySQL on the intermediary server and then cloning to the destination server, and then deleting the intermediary server

  9. Ability to name folders upon application creation or rename w/o symlink

Folders are difficult to identify when accessing via FTP, and changing the name results in an additional symlinked folder which results in more clutter (e.g. 100 sites -> 200 folders). Would be nice to have a better way to name these initially or rename without a symlink. I know config files for nginx and apache would likely have to be rewritten but I would think that this could be done programmatically.

  12. Set up application-level email, including Staging

When we make a copy of our site for staging testing, this copy retains transactional email sending functionality, which should not occur, as while the copy is for testing only and there are no changes to your database, it should not sending emails, or at least we have the option to block them,
because if we have the copy for many hours we get two sites sending emails to customers at the same time. It would be a great term for an easy way to block, as the email add-on is server-level, and this complicates a bit.

  13. Separate Applications by Server

My main server has a lot of applications, close to 100 which included the Staging apps as well as the apps for the main sites. I created another small server with the idea that I can clone/stage my main apps from my main server on to the new small server and have visual separation. When I clicked on the server link at the top, I selected the new server I created thinking that if I did that, I would be in that server's folder/UI. I would then click the Applications link at the top and saw a clone of my…

  14. Be able to change the Application Admin Panel Credentials

    Exactly what the title says!

Its very practical to be able to change the password in the Admin Panel section of Application's Page. Like so anyone who has access to cloudways panel can have access to the Applications Dashboard fast and easily without searching for the password!

  15. Password prompt for staging needs work

The password prompt for staging site doesn’t work with password managers and prompts multiple times even when entered correctly. I love the staging concept and that it’s protected by default but the current mechanism makes it difficult to actually use.

  16. Let users designate an install path for Add Application

I have an existing application, and I'd like to add a Wordpress installation to a subdirectory. (eg: myapplication.com/blog )

Why can't I specify an install path in the Add Application area?

  17. Allow apps to be installed on subfolder urls

It should be possible to install an app and set its 'primary domain' as a subfolder of a domain; e.g. domain.com/some-app.

Ideally you should be able to simply set the 'primary domain' as a subfolder but if that's not possible the Cloudways stack should allow Reverse Proxy to be setup on the server in order to achieve the same thing.

At the moment, the only way to achieve this is to hack the Cloudways setup by creating up an app on a bogus url and then physically moving that app into the app folder of your route app. This unfortunately…

  19. Add email system to install in 1 click

Similar to it's with Wordpress, Magento, Laravel... We could be able to install Horde and SquirrelMail in an application.

  20. App containers

In 2019 it is absolutely a must to be able to use servers as app containers. If you are not gonna implement Docker support I suggest you enable us create apps as app containers.

So if I have one server to be able to create app specific config. It means one app can have certain version of php, mysql, node, npm, git, python, and another app completely different versions of them.

Now all apps from one server must have the same set of tools and languages which force us to use the oldest versions for our new apps because of…
