Use nginx for php-fpm dynamic content - instead of the current setup of nginx reverse proxy for static and apache for php-fpm
The current setup seems to be only using nginx as reverse proxy in front of apache/php-fpm.
Right now requests seem to go this way nginx->apache->php-fpm.
We'd like to test with apache completely removed and nginx->php-fpm direct.
We'd like to have a nginx -> php-fpm setup for generating dynamic content on uncached pages for faster performance.
We are able to get twice the page loading speed from a direct setup on Linode with identical specs with Nginx used for php-fpm than the Thunderstack use of Nginx only as a reverse proxy and Apache for php-fpm dynamic content.

Clone application settings
When you clone an application, you should have an option to clone also:
- Application credentials
- Domains
- Cron Jobs
- SSL Certificates
- Application settings
- CDN settingsAt the moment, the Application Cloning process only clones the files+database, with the result that the app is working but then you have to duplicate all those settings manually in the Platform.

LEMP Stack with Apache removed
Our testing is showing 2-3 times faster performance from a pure LEMP setup with Apache removed and NGinx as the webserver for php-fpm FastCGI.
I strongly suggest you should have this as an available option for those with more resource-intense applications (eg: any with 20+ plugins).
Sorry but until that is an option we can only use Cloudways for development instances to test how the applications run on a slower inefficient application stack.

Disk Usage Tool & File Manager
I suggest a Server Settings Panel for Disk Usage (cPanel-like is ok):
- Mini Expandable Directory Tree with Disk Usage per Directory;
- User can select to order by Disk Usage Ascending or Descending;I also suggest a (also cPanel-like) File Manager:
- User can navigate inside the Server from the Platform;
- User can upload/download files and directories to Server;
- User can zip/unzip directly from the File Manager, and delete.6 votes -
Add ability to schedule automatic server shutdown/enable
Add ability to schedule automatic server shutdown/enable.
If i have a server that i know is only required to be used during regular business hours, but i dont want it accessible or paying for it during non-business hours, I'd like to automatically schedule it to go offline and then come back online later.
IE: i want to shut it down every day at 1am and bring it back online at 6am, without having to do it manually.

Upgrade ionCube Loader 10.1.0 or Greater
Please upgrade ionCube Loader 10.1.0 as WHMCS now requires this to enable automatic updates. Without it manual updates are required which is a tedious time consuming process.
Many thanks.

Better overview - Grid view for applications and servers
In our web agency we sometimes have a little trouble getting a proper overview over the servers and or applications we have on your platform.
Would it be possible to make a "Grid view" for the applications? Perhaps with a screenshot of the applications like Flywheel does?
That would give a 10x better overview :D8 votes -
Add Vultr 512MB RAM Server Option
I have seen other ideas asking for the price of Vultr servers to be reduced, but I am NOT suggesting that, the prices are fair given these servers are managed. What I'm asking is could Cloudways add the lowest level Vultr server option (1vCPU/512MB RAM/500GB space) as an option?
This would be very useful for staging servers or when you need to clone server to test something out. With Vultr this costs $2.50/mth so with the Cloudways markup it would be about $5.50/mth (220%) and that would be great for a staging server.
Thank you for your consideration.

Can we please please get a wild card SSL certificate on the cloudwaysapps.com domain
I am constantly deploying dev environments for development/plugin updates. Many of the WP/Woo plugins need an ssl cert to work properly.
The .cloudwaysapps.com domain that these are deployed on does not have a wildcard ssl certificate meaning our dev environments have plugin conflicts. Wildcard SSL certs are available for less than US$50 per year. I am more than happy to pay for it.
If this could be put in place as soon as possible it would be hugely appreciated. You can invoice me for the cost no worries.

Monit as New Relic alternative
New Relic reach EOL but application monitoring is still important. Maybe MONIT daemon should be a good alternative...

Cloudways Rackspace webmail needs to be SSL / HTTPS
When an email account is setup using Cloudways/Rackspace, the webmail url provided in the login details is non SSL. This causes a problem that the end client now gets security warnings which makes my service look unprofessional.
When I spoke to support, they suggested a different (secure) url. I suggest at the very least the set up email sent by cloudways with login details has either the generic https rackspace url or to set up the vanity subdomain url to be https as well

Google SSO login for Team members (only works for the account Owner)
After a conversation with support it seems that Google SSO login only works for the account Owner but not Team Members.
Can you make this work for Team Members too please because currently they think that their account or login isn't working when they expect this to work as it would on any other website.
Thanks :)

Being able to adjust MaxRequestWorkers MaxConnectionsPerChild config
It would be great to to adjust MaxRequestWorkers MaxConnectionsPerChild in the control panel rather than have to ask cloudways support. When using PHP-FPM (which is now the standard with cloudways hosting) adjusting these settings to your own needs is really beneficial and prevents memory outages/site down time.
