Our testing is showing 2-3 times faster performance from a pure LEMP setup with Apache removed and NGinx as the webserver for php-fpm FastCGI.
I strongly suggest you should have this as an available option for those with more resource-intense applications (eg: any with 20+ plugins).
Sorry but until that is an option we can only use Cloudways for development instances to test how the applications run on a slower inefficient application stack.18 votes
Having an option to use Parse Server (http://parseplatform.org/) would be a killer feature for Cloudways. An ultimate alternative to firebase for a real-time database. With 15k stars and more than 180 contributors in Github is one of the best choices you can have. And it is possible and easy to install in a linux based server1 vote
We want this to work in cloudways
I develop using React.js. Node.js/Meteor, as well as MongoDB. I would love to use cloudways to launch and develop applications using this stack. This would be a game changer for real developers. I hope you all work on this soon. Thank you30 votes
Canwe have 1 click install for .net core?1 vote
It's time Cloudways add nginx microcaching so that there are no performance issues.5 votes
Windows desktop - like PaperSpace.
Just one click install then either rdp or use in browser (My preference)1 vote
Would you be able to offer more powerful servers through Veesp for a lower price?1 vote
We are pleased to announce the release of ionCube Encoder Version 10 with PHP 7.1 encoding support! - https://t.co/GLwfrQls3C5 votes
Whist upgrading Magento 2.1.9 the upgrade/component manager makes the recommendation:- "Package fabpot/php-cs-fixer is abandoned, you should avoid using it. Use friendsofphp/php-cs-fixer instead."
These guys know their stuff...1 vote
Please include IonCube Loader on default php 7.0 stack for all WordPress configs. It is supported in php 5.6 but we're a bit behind the 8 ball with version 7.0 which is now default. Please make this happen. Cheers!5 votes
Since you offer MySQL 5.6 and install Memcache it would be nice to have a native NoSQL setup using the InnoDB memcached Plugin1 vote
Silverstripe is the best php cms. you should make hosting it easy. unfortunately the nginx settings and varnish seem to cause couldways a lot of problem when hosting silverstripe.2 votes
possible shared folder or permission folder, between project, because like yii we have same vendor, or same resource.1 vote

I've been trying to run ERPNext... didn't succeed.
It would be great to have it as a stack

So i talked to 2 support employees today, both with the same outcome: "Today it is not possible to run gulp on cloudways."
1. You can't install gulp globally, since cloudways won't allow global npm install.
2. You can't run gulp locally, because this will give you some permission denied.
The weirdest thing of all... Gulp is necessary to use Elixir on Laravel 5.x. The have pre-installed laravel applications, but you can't use the elixir function. Wtf?!4 votes
I am sorry you had to go through that much trouble.
Could you please help me understand how you were trying to use Gulp here that didn’t work?
It is true that at this point in time we don’t support global installation of Gulp. But you should be able to use Gulp easily.
If you have the Gulp dependency defined in the package.json file, then you may run `npm install` to install it. Once installed, if you have a gulpfile.js with Elixir assets defined, you can run gulp by referencing it via `./node_modules/gulp/bin/gulp.js`. It is a somewhat inconvenient, yes, but it should do the job right.
Could you please tell me if you faced issues this way?
I'd like to see an option to use FastCGI cache instead of Varnish. Several tests prove, that FastCGI could be faster.
Another advantage is, that it doesn't need complicated configuration.
Please consider adding it to your features!10 votes
We'd quite like the ability to specify a HTML-only stack with PHP disabled and no database. While this might seem an odd request, we sometimes have the need for temporary holding sites, additional sub-sites, etc. It's potentially also of use with headless CMS sites. Having related sites on the same server / within the same interface is useful.
While I realise we can use the PHP install for this, I'd prefer something that has code execution properly disabled from the start.48 votes
