The constant messing of file ownership has been an ongoing problem on CW for years.

But FYI - there is a button for you to manually reset ownership/permissions yourself.

In the specific application's Application Management Dashboard > Application Settings there is a button for Reset Permission. (Support should have been able to tell you this - it's required A LOT.)

It's time to get in here and update us on the status of this, @Cloudways.

Over a year waiting on a definitive answer to an important update isn't OK. The last mention in the Cloudways FB group was for "a few weeks" and that was two months ago.

We need a better process for keeping these kinds of requests updated.

This is indeed a good suggestion. We at Cloudways believe in being transparent to our users in all operational areas. We have added this idea to our Product Improvement Ideas list, and information about security would be available on the Cloudways Platform in the coming days.

Sure would be useful to be able to specify which apps get backed up and which can be excluded from backup. Half my sites are dev versions of the live sites site and are pointless to back up. Would save on server resources, storage space, and backup fees.

Strong vote for the Flexible Droplets. The 2gigRAM/2vCPU/50 gigSSD would be a real sweet spot for a lot of client business sites.

C'mon Cloudways - this is the obvious final step to close the loop on SSL implementation.
