Improve WordPress Staging: Selective Database Sync
The actual staging feature was a big step forward to deal with business related WordPress sites.
But for now only the entire database could be pushed/pulled between staging <> live environment.
For more complex WordPress sites with WooCommerce or membership systems the actual staging feature is not enough. While in staging mode the live site changes permantly and new orders/users are created. When pushing back the entire datebase all changes would be overwritten!
A selective database sync (select which tables should be copied) would really improve the staging feature. With that in place Cloudways would be a very good host…

Option to update composer
Composer can not be updated without sudo permissions. You should make this option available as all modern php frameworks are based on composer.
5 votesComposer is now auto-updated on deployment (so new servers get latest version) and recurring updates happening bi-weekly automatically.

Automatic Git deployment
Ability to pull automatically after a commit/push has been made to the repo. The blog about using Git still says you are working on git hooks.
1 voteThis can be done via the new API:
https://developers.cloudways.com/docs/Check the Git API section.
We will come up with a KB to further clarify it.

Add PHP 7
PHP7 will land soon and smart hosting companies are already supporting it (see Siteground and a handful other competitors).
The speed and performance gains are tremendous. Speed + performance = better website experience and for commercial sites, more revenue.
The first hosting company to get proper staging support, php 7, easy SSL install and SNI support gets my future business. It's no longer okay for hosting companies to lag behind on PHP, holding the web back.
114 votesPHP7 is now live. Please note that it is only available (and will continue to be) on Debian 8 servers. If you are running on an older Debian 7 server, you can migrate your application to a new Debian 8 server (where even with php 5.6 you will get better performance) and test php 7 there.

SPDY
It would be good idea to start implement SPDY from Google. In this time its relatively heavy pressure for https sites (in my opinion its good idea at all). In this case Varnish is out, so put option for SPDY will be logical step for sites using SSL certificates.

Add PHP 5.5x to your stack options
My developer is asking me for a stack option using PHP 5.5x, it would be great this could be offered on ClicknGo platforms especially considering PHP is recommending 5.4 to be phased out: http://php.net/archive/2014.php#id2014-09-18-2
51 votesDefault applications are launched with PHP 5.5 From Server Settings & Packages section you can now upgrade to 5.6 or downgrade to 5.4 ( plus upgrade mysql, replace it with mariadb and deploy redis).

Laravel
CloudWays is a great hosting platform, but I would like to see dedicated support built in for Laravel, this would simplify having to set up Laravel for APC/Memcached and would also negate having to play around with the folder structure of laravel (index.php being in the public folder of the application install)
5 votesLaravel 5.0.4 was deployed today. This will be for new installs.
