Exclude specific static content/file types from Nginx cache
SUGGESTION: Add Function/Button to SERVER or APP Dashboard to exclude specific static filetypes from being served by the Nginx server / static cache
USE CASE: Membership Websites or Knowledge Management Site have the need of protecting access to specific static content. For example, certain Pdf-documents, Excel-Sheets, etc.
We currently manage access to such files via a Wordpress membership plugin. However the plugin / htaccess gets bypassed by the Nginx cache.
Cloudways support can implement such file exclusions from Nginx literally within seconds. But it seems that their settings/override gets reset at certain intervals (perhaps by server maintenance or restarts.)

When trying to PUSH/PULL selected database tables from staging, list tables in single-column non-iframed list
When choosing only selected database tables to PUSH or PULL from staging to live website it is VERY difficult to both read or find the tables because of you choice of layout. I'm numbering things so replies can reference each point.
PROBLEMS
- Tables are listed in four columns
- Tables are inside a quite small iframe that forces us to scroll around 6 pages in length... it's like only being allowed to look through a peephole at large document.
- Table names are truncated with an ellipsis (...) if they don't fit in the width of the column and for me that's…

Allow CW Signup with any email address (not only Gmail)
Currently, it's only possible to create a new account with either a Gmail address or a branded email address.
I strongly encourage you and suggest allowing any email addresses to create a Cloudways account.
Gmail → can't force a client to use Gmail
Branded email → if the branded email should be migrated to Cloudways (using Rackspace) then its not recommended to use this email address to manage the CW account itself.Workaround: Change email address after account creation. But this can be only done once. And it's again an annoying process for a client who needs to do that…

Add Created Date to Single App Page
Currently the created date only shows on the "Applications" page, which paginates apps in groups of 10. We've go over 150 apps, so when we need to find the created date we have to trawl through pages to find the correct app.
So it would be super helpful to have the "Created Date" for an application within the details of a single app. As for where, maybe above/below the "Applications Management" title on the left hand side. Or below that menu? Or within one of the pages - e.g. Access Details.

Under Staging Management- Speed up the process for "copy from Staging to Live". It is much too slow.
It just needs to process all the data much faster than me dropping files into a directory. If I have one php file and I use this tool, it takes hours to update VS 1 minute for me to manually upload a new file. This feature is critical to our GIT environment.

Show SSL across the server in one place
Can we have an information window for the sever showing which applications have an SSL certificate enabled and which don't (expired) ...
We have had issues with auto renewal not working and without going to each application in turn, it is impossible to see at a glance which renewals have failed

Have a Password Protect for any Application just like Staging Applications
Just simply allow the same password protection option from the UI like staging applications have for any application.

Ability to nickname Team account instead of showing primary account holder's first name
I would like the ability to give an account a nickname as a team member. When I have multiple accounts in my dropdown, they only show the primary account holder's first name. If you have two accounts in there with Mark as the first name, it's confusing.

Add 'use lower case for domain address' to avoid issues with SSL installation
This will avoid any issue with installing SSL certificates when the domain name is in uppercase anywhere in the console.

Accept Ed25519 keys on the Dashboard/Console
Please, consider adapting the Dashboard to allow the adding of Ed25519 keys for SSH sessions.
RSA, the cryptographic method currently in place for SSH sessions, is mathematically breakable, which is why long keys are necessary to keep security; nevertheless, there is always the possibility they could be cracked. Also, for long term protection, RSA keys should now, supposedly, contain at least 15360 bits; of course, this is unrealistic in a real environment, as it decreases performance and increases strain on the communication channels.

Granular Management of Applications and Add-Ons Accessibility per user/team member.
It would be really helpful if we can manage granular Application and Addon-on Access for each Application team member.

I want my client to be able to get a Rackspace/Elastic Mail email account by themselves and the Add-on and the charge for the Add-on to be shown on my monthly bill.Example 2

- Allow arguments in the 'simple' cron interface
- Allow quotes 'simple' cron interface
- Add functionality to test a cron with a button, and show it's response (like Plesk)

in this area when looking at all servers
i have a bunch of servers now and it would just make my life easier to see some of that info at scale
and I'd be more likely to upgrade something (more money for you guys) if I can see it all in a list like that
that's it! Just wanted to pass it along as something to consider down the line! I'd consider it a quality of life improvement for customers with multiple servers :)8 votes
