  1. Multiple IP addresses assigned to a server

I would love to have the option to assign multiple IP addresses to a server, so we can have different apps each on its own IP, on the same server. Right now, we have to boot up a new server (multiplying the costs) each time we need a new IP for an app.

  2. Possibility to upload server key and CSR for SSL certificate

I think there should be possible besides generating CSR uploading own CSR and key for the SSL certificate. This would minimize time when migrating from some other server

  3. Make XDebug accessible for remote debugging

I would like to use my IDE such as PHPstorm, to have remote debugging sessions using XDebug. Currently, XDebug is available on Cloudways but I cannot connect to it, so what is the point?

  5. Add stored procedure SQL server

Cloudways mysql server didn't support stored procedure Sql. I think it would be better if stored procedure functionality add on mysql server.

  6. Wildcard SSL for multisite but also works for mapped domains

Right now we have two options for having SSL working for WordPress networks. We can have a wildcard SSL certificate OR we manually map domains to each subsite. It would be nice of we could have both.

    Thank you

  7. Add write permissions to user (~) directory for SSH application user

The application user does not have write permissions to their own user directory (i.e. `~/`). This prevents any application that needs to write to this directory from being run when logged in as an application user, such as git, ssh, npm, etc.

Making the user directory for the application user writable by the application user, so that new files and sub-directories can be created, will solve many issues that myself and others are having running applications when logged in as an application user.

Other feedback ideas this should solve include:

Please enable NPM in SSH when we are using application…

  9. Add ability to set ServerTokens configuration in Apache

Often there is a desire by security teams not to expose verbose information about the versions of software and operating system running on a system. It would be great if the ServerTokens and ServerSignature configuration items were available to silence or minimize the information given. The motivation here is to prevent handing an attacker information about what older exploits might apply or not to your server.

  11. Tracked deletions in git should be synced with the server upon deployment

Currently when using the git deployment feature, if you delete a previously tracked file and push this change to the server it doesn't delete the file from the server.

This means you're left with lots of legacy files that are no longer needed, and your repo is no longer in sync with your server files.

This can cause issues if you ever wanted to push changes back from the server to git as it would then track the previously deleted files and re-add them to the sever!

I'd assume this to be expected behaviour but there might be a reason…

Thanks, Harry, for taking the time to report this.

I’d like to better understand your use-case in order to figure out what’s going on.

For example, if I have a git repository deployed on my server on Cloudways, and if I go ahead and delete an already tracked file from the repository on my local computer and push the changes upstream to the remote repository and then pull those changes on my Cloudways server, I do see that the deleted file is gone from my public_html/ (or any other deployment) directory. Are you having trouble with that?

Or is your workflow different from what I’ve described? Please let me know so I may check it thoroughly.

    Thanks.

  12. Set Varnisch cache time on application level

Varnish hit rate is low on low traffic sites. By setting the cache time of varnisch on an application level you can beter manage site speed per application.

  16. Kyup Clustering for ultimate performance

Kyup is already offering the best CPU performance for the money. Use that with Clustering and you have a perfect Production setup.

  17. Allow user backup settings

Hi, I would like to suggest that User should be given the chance to set the backup timings on his own preference so that he himself can fine tune it for the time when the website has the least load.

  18. Allow NGINX to work in all but specified folders

I had crushed in a user case which required to manage file permissions via .htaccess RewriteRules, with files physically available inside web-visible folders instead of logic-protected folders, so I had been forced to have CloudWays disable NGINX for my server.

Instead, it would be nice to have a panel where to configure specific folders with Apache-based file serve, instead of NGINX-based.

  19. Create a MySQL-only optimized server

I just want to create an high performance optimized DB server without Apache nor other modules.
I want to be optimized already for high-performance by Cloudways experts. That's it.

  20. Update Apache 2.4.28 or later after website failed penetration test

One of our clients recently undertook a penetration test on their site in accordance with their ISO application. It was highly recommended that Apache was upgraded to version 2.4.28 or later as Apache 2.4.10 was reported to have multiple vulnerabilities.

Most large UK based companies will undergo a similar ISO application so this should really be completed.

    Thanks!
