  1. Allow Server Master Credentials to access all MySQL databases.

Having a single user account that can access all the databases under a given server would simplify administration. The Server Master Credentials seems like a logical choice.

Currently I open an SSH tunnel for database access and it would be great if the same tunnel credentials could also connect to the databases.

  3. Load Data Local Infile enabled for MySQL

I run an e-commerce site that imports data feeds from our suppliers. However our import addon can't work as it requires Load Data Local Infile enabled for MySQL.

  4. Providing a Test Server

As with all hosting suppliers, Test servers are never charged for.

For every live server, you should allow the facility for a sandbox test server.

This will make it for anyone who has a live server to be able to test and roll out.

It should be free and will make your package for hosting a very STRONG offer.

Charging customers for a test server is not a good policy. You really need to review this and make it more attractive.

  5. Allow asynchronous logging via Loggly, Papertrail, or Splunk

Allow asynchronous (fast, non-blocking) logging via syslog daemon.

You don't even need to make it a 1-click installation for Loggly, Papertrail, or Splunk.

Just allow us to use the syslog daemon and then we can follow instructions at https://www.loggly.com/docs/php-logs/ or http://help.papertrailapp.com/kb/configuration/configuring-centralized-logging-from-php-apps/ or wherever.

Those instructions say they'd require root access (which Cloudways customers don't have), but it wouldn't require root access if you did the first steps for us.

    Thanks!

  7. Install Ghostscript

Just that, please install Ghostscript as it's a requirement for other tools such as GraphicsMagick and ImageMagick

    Thanks!

  8. Install GraphicsMagick

Can we have GraphicsMagick installed? It has better performance, and image quality than ImageMagick while using less memory

  9. Add more file types on database import

I found myself in a position where I had a huge table locally and wanted to import it on my database.

    CSV file ~30mb
    SQL file ~200mb

Unfortunately, we can only import tables from sql files. Would love to see different file types like CSV, JSON, XML

  10. Ask for a confirmation when "Removing" git repo from "Deployment via Git"

When removing Github repo from "Deployment via Git", please ask for a confirmation first. I clicked Remove button by accident, then had to set it up again.

  13. Exclude HTML from Nginx static cache

Currently HTML is included in the static cache of nginx.
This results in pushing an expires 30 days header on html content request and ignoring htaccess directives.

This is particulary dangerous, since there is no way to purge that cache unless the expiration on nginx is set to 0 for all assets.

  14. Improve permission settings

I notice when you change the shell username to something else, it doesn't change the ownership of the directories and files in the public_html directory. You have to do an additional step which is Reset Permissions to have it reflect the changes. Maybe have function to also reset permissions when you change the shell username.

  15. Please integrate IonCube with PHP 7.

IonCube is currently not integrated with PHP 7 on Cloudways, only older versions of PHP. Please run it with PHP 7.

  16. Improve Drupal 8 Varnish Integration

Drupal 8 installs on cloudways currently include the varnish module which is unstable and not recommended for production use. This should be replaced with the purge module, as per the project page:
    https://www.drupal.org/project/varnish

Additionally, Drupal 8 has a very robust built-in caching api, which can be configured to work together with Varnish for much more efficient caching / cache invalidation. This would require custom configuration of the Varnish vcl for Drupal 8 instances, see the official drupal documentation here:
    https://www.drupal.org/docs/8/api/cache-api/varnish

  18. Use supported PHP timezones (America/Chicago instead of US/Central)

Some of the PHP timezones listed on the basic settings and packages page are not supported by PHP. For example, I can select "US/Central" as a timezone, but PHP only supports "America/Chicago", which isn't an option. See: https://secure.php.net/manual/en/timezones.others.php

  19. Wishlist member & NGINX compatibility

Currently wishlist member cannot protect individual files unless changes are made to the Nginx configuration. The support team are unable to make these changes on an individual basis, so the whole configuration needs to be updated system wide.

  20. Allow changing Varnish config file (VCL) after application setup

A dropdown with options next to the "Varnish Toggle" button allowing us to choose which VCL is configured with this application would allow us flexibility to change our stack without having to create a whole new application and reconfigure ours.
