  1. Add PHP 7

PHP7 will land soon and smart hosting companies are already supporting it (see Siteground and a handful other competitors).

The speed and performance gains are tremendous. Speed + performance = better website experience and for commercial sites, more revenue.

The first hosting company to get proper staging support, php 7, easy SSL install and SNI support gets my future business. It's no longer okay for hosting companies to lag behind on PHP, holding the web back.

PHP7 is now live. Please note that it is only available (and will continue to be) on Debian 8 servers. If you are running on an older Debian 7 server, you can migrate your application to a new Debian 8 server (where even with php 5.6 you will get better performance) and test php 7 there.

  4. Better wording for Delete Primary Domain under Domain Management

This is a suggestion for better wording when you click on the Delete button of a primary domain that has been set.

The pop up window text says: "Are you sure you want to delete Application Primary Domain?"

This can be confused to think you might delete the applications itself. Wording such as: "Are you should you would like to delete this primary domain assigned to the application?" would be more specific.

  10. Add the higher servers configurations 32 to 64GB RAM 12-20-24 cores

Please add the higher servers configurations from Vultr and DigitalOcean featuring 32 to 64GB RAM 12-20-24 cores.

While I am not ready just yet for them I do need to know that the option will be there when the time comes.

Also may I suggest that you top the managing fee (markup) per server to be close to $100? This would also match Linode current full manage service offer. It's just that 60% markup would make these more expensive servers way too expensive.

    Thanks!

  13. keep the application credential in master

I think you should keep the applications sftp access credential in the master account. I know that it seem duplicated but in fact, it's not. since the application credential locks to one applications. also, if I need a application credentail I would need to create a team member account and do all the crazy thing to set up the new member account in order to make the application credentials. this is very tedious and troublesome sometime because all we need is to get the credential info and send it to someone. Normally, we need the application credentail is because we…

  14. Add "favourites" feature for applications

Allow a "favourite application" section, maybe on initial dashboard after login?

Added via a star icon on the application detail screen, and can be removed from favourites on the favourites list, and application detail screen.

So similar to the "ellipsis-hover" list as in you can link directly to apps, but you can set which you'd like to show.

Would be handy when working on a specific pair of projects and need "quick access" to their application pages (rather than multiple clicks - manage server > application management > click list > select list item).

Hope I've explained clear enough :-)

  15. Allow OPCache Settings

Allow OPCache Settings to be managed by us. I've tried to do it so via php.ini and .htaccess directives, but neither has worked with some few values.

Also it's kind of annoying to have to talk to the support team everytime I need something to be changed.

  17. Support 'Let's Encrypt' (automatic and free SSL/TLS)

Mid 2015 the Let's Encrypt Certificate Authority (CA) is expected to go live. It would be great if Cloudways would join this effort and offer it as a service to their customers. This CA & software will allow automatic and free (domain validated) SSL/TLS for any domain.

If what you want is to run Laravel Artisan commands such as:

    > php artisan schedule:run
    > php artisan route:clear

You can do so from the advanced cron editor, so long as you run the command from inside the public_html directory where artisan is found. For example, we have tested with:

    > * * * * * cd public_html && php artisan route:clear > /tmp/artisan.log

    And it works fine.

Let us know if this fixes your needs.

  19. Server Scaling option should have a pop-up asking for confirmation

When scaling the server there is no confirmation (like "Are you sure you want to do so?") which can cause issues if someone accidentally clicks the scale button without intending to actually scale up the server.
