You can now upgrade from 5.5 to 5.6 from the Server Settings & Packages section under the Server tab.

We use Debian as base OS for our servers and in latest stable release (Wheezy), mysql server 5.5 is the supported version, so to deploy 5.6. we should go to not official repo, something we will only do if we see very strong demand for this.
