Support 'Let's Encrypt' (automatic and free SSL/TLS)
Mid 2015 the Let's Encrypt Certificate Authority (CA) is expected to go live. It would be great if Cloudways would join this effort and offer it as a service to their customers. This CA & software will allow automatic and free (domain validated) SSL/TLS for any domain.
For more information visit https://letsencrypt.org/
This is now live. Option is available under Application Management → SSL certificate.

Thanks for the tip on renewal cron job. Passed to our DevOps team.
We don't have an ETA for this. In current sprint we have the initial research task. In next spring (Jan) depending on outcome of current research we will work on integration at backend and UI levels. With no commitment, but we may have this (if no issues) by the end of Jan/beginning Feb.

Thanks for moving this into the Planned stage - do you have any idea of a release date? Also, will you be incorporating a renewal cron job system, as they do at forge.laravel.com? https://laracasts.com/series/server-management-with-forge/episodes/12

Would be an excellent enhancement. I've seen it implemented on a few hosts already. -

So, let's encrypt is now open for public - even the first shared hosters have it already integrated. (Though the beta the last two months were already kinda public too - you asked for an invite and got it 2 days later.)
How's it looking at Cloudways?
For the reason that you need root and/or the possibility to publish some text/plain content in your webroot for authentication, Cloudways users can't (really) do it by themselves.
But an integration into cloudways should really be quite easy and done in little time.
Is it on your roadmap / close to release? Otherwise could sure be a dealbreaker for quite some people.

Let's Encrypt is entering public beta in early December - https://letsencrypt.org/2015/11/12/public-beta-timing.html We would welcome support for this. We are really pushing SSL everywhere to clients at the moment. Having integrated support for free certificates would be a real plus.
