Add option for password protection for all apps, not just staging
This is a great feature for the staging sites, however, we often run into the instance where we are doing a new website build for a client and don't already host their primary site. In this case, we are setting up a standalone app for the new project, but would also like to have to ability to turn on password protection as if it were a staging site.

This shouldn't take much time to implement since the functions are already there for staging sites?

Once you use this great feature on a staging app, you immediately realize what a hassle it is to fiddle with .htaccess on non-public sites in progress. This would be an easy "upgrade" to jump on since the coding is already done. It might be a good idea to default to "disable" for non-staging apps. The last thing we would want is to increase support usage because people didn't know why they were getting locked out.
