Product Improvements: New Interface (UI/UX)

39 results found

  1. Direct Links to In-Depth Download & Setup Guides in Dashboard

Adding contextual links to step-by-step setup and download guides inside the Cloudways UI would help users quickly install applications and configure servers without confusion. Having clear, visible guidance directly in the interface significantly reduces friction.

For example, resource pages that offer step-by-step instructions—such as https://playsgeometrydash.com/download-guide/ —make it effortless for users to complete installations smoothly. Integrating similar guided walkthroughs and download links into the Cloudways application panel would greatly enhance user experience.

  2. Date of creation of the application

It would be very helpful if Cloudways displayed the application's creation date directly on the Access Details page (or in the application overview).

As an agency managing many websites, we often need to know when an application was originally created for troubleshooting, migrations, billing history, and client records. Currently, this information isn't easily accessible from the UI.

Adding a simple field such as:

    Created on: January 15, 2024

would save time and improve application management, especially for users managing dozens or hundreds of applications.

  3. I built a proactive Telegram Bot for 1-Click Management & Security 🚀

    Hey Cloudways Team! 👋

I love the Cloudways platform, but let's be honest: when a server spikes or a malicious bot is hammering an app, having to open a browser, log in, pass 2FA, and navigate the dashboard just to restart a service or block an IP takes precious time.

So, I built a solution. I created a custom Telegram Bot powered by Cloudflare Workers that acts as a proactive, pocket-sized sysadmin for my team. It interacts seamlessly with the Cloudways API, and the results have been game-changing.

Here is a tease of what it does straight from our Telegram…

  4. Provide certain canned reports for troubleshooting

It would be great if the dashboard provided a link that would generate certain reports from access logs, such as highlighting IP numbers that are causing excessive traffic, errors that are appearing frequently, and so on. I'm sure Cloudways support has a list of things they do every time someone writes in; perhaps they could encapsulate that knowledge in a link that customers could access directly without having to ask. If it were tied to an AI, it could even suggest firewall rules.

  5. Better Performance Insights for Media-Heavy Website

It would be helpful if Cloudways added more detailed performance insights for websites that handle a lot of images, videos, and other media content.

A dedicated section in the dashboard could show which resources are using the most bandwidth, how caching is affecting performance, and whether a website could benefit from CDN optimization. Simple recommendations based on the website's actual usage would also make the dashboard more useful.

For example, website with a large amount of visual and video content can sometimes need additional optimization to maintain fast loading times. Having these insights directly inside Cloudways would make it easier…

  6. Add a Customizable Quick Actions Panel to the Dashboard

It would be helpful to have a customizable Quick Actions panel on the Cloudways dashboard where users can pin frequently used actions such as managing applications, checking server health, clearing cache, accessing backups, and monitoring resources. This would reduce unnecessary navigation and make the new interface faster and easier to use, especially for users managing multiple servers and applications.

  7. Disable all AI features, including AI support Chatbot

The AI features are a waste of resources, I would like a way to disable all AI features and messaging on my account so I don't have to see or interact with them. Including the Live Chat AI assistant.

  10. I’d like to see easier CMS integrations, better API flexibility

I’d like to see easier CMS integrations, better API flexibility, and simpler connections with third-party tools. A cms integration company could also help businesses connect their existing systems with Cloudways.

  11. Direct Cloud Storage & External Backup Integrations in UI

Adding quick access integrations for external cloud storage and backup setups directly within the new UI would save a lot of time. Having clear download routes and resource paths—similar to how third-party storage portals like https://tboxxapk.com/ structure their file access—makes managing application data much easier. Hope to see better cloud integration in the dashboard!

That would save us multiple clicks repeated every time to reach the list. Thanks.

  14. Slow queries page needs better data export and filtering

Following up on the existing slow queries layout idea the tooltip-only view is annoying, but what bugs me more is that I can't export or filter the data in any useful way. When I'm debugging a WooCommerce site with 200+ slow queries a day, I need to group them by query pattern, sort by execution time, and track trends over the past week. None of that is possible in the current UI. I ended up dumping everything into a staging database through a data warehouse consultancy so my team could actually run analysis on it would be great if Cloudways…

  15. Add One-Click WP Admin Login Button to Access Details

Currently, the WordPress SSO (one-click login) button is only available through:

Site Manager → Overview → WP Admin

This works well, but it requires several extra clicks every time I want to access a WordPress website.

It would be much more convenient if the same one-click WP Admin button was also available directly within the Application → Access Details section.

At the moment, Access Details already contains the Admin Panel URL, username, and password information. Since this is the most logical place for WordPress access, adding the SSO button there would improve usability and save time for agencies and developers…

  16. Improving User Experience Through Better Guidance & Tutorials

I think platforms become much more engaging when they provide clear step-by-step guidance for users. Simple tutorials, better navigation, and community-driven features can really improve the overall experience.

That’s one reason why guides like https://geomdashhub.com/how-to-upload-and-publish-a-level-in-geometry-dash/ are so useful, they help users quickly understand features and become more involved with the community.

  17. SSL auto renewal status

SSL Auto renewal can fail if you have a domain that no longer points to the server. But you don't get a message or can see in the UI that the renewal have failed and why.

It would be nice to be notified when the renewal fails. And if the UI tells you that the renewal have failed and why it failed. Would be awesome if it told you what domain it failed on, if it's a case of a domain not pointing to the server anymore.

  18. Rating for AI support responses

Currently Cloudways gives me an opportunity to evaluate human support responses, but not AI responses. The AI hallucinates a lot (today it kept trying to tell me that a whole server can be restored from a backup, but this is clearly not possible). It would be great if we could either rate responses, or flag badly inaccurate responses, so the AI can try to improve itself.

  19. Add placeholder inbox for new Rackspace additions that are in (DNS) propagation period.

Please add grayed out placeholder inbox for newly submitted Rackspace inbox additions that are in (DNS) propagation period. If I had missed the disappearing notification upon creating my new inbox I would have no idea that there is a propagation period that I have to wait on until I gain access to my new inbox.

  20. Application & Server Task Queues

Hi, as server and site admins, we have a bunch of operations to do--sometimes in multiple apps. The problem is, when doing an operation on one server, we have to wait until the next operation is finished. Can you guys create an operation queue so we can do the tasks we need without having to sit in front of the computer and wait for tasks to finish? If I want to delete five applications, I should not need to wait 10 minutes--I just set them to delete, and they delete one after another. Same with transferring from server to server.…
