  3. Autonomous Content-Aware Optimization

I manage a multilingual content website, https://xn--o39a74kttbz1pc2m.com/, where new articles and images are published regularly. It would be valuable if Cloudways Autonomous could automatically detect newly published or updated content and optimize it without requiring manual actions. For example, it could intelligently warm the cache, optimize database queries, preload frequently visited pages, and refresh CDN assets based on real visitor behavior. A dashboard showing which optimizations were applied automatically would provide transparency while keeping website performance consistently high. This would make Cloudways Autonomous even more hands-off for content-driven websites.

  5. Application Restart Button

It would be really useful to have a simple “Restart Application” button directly in the Cloudways dashboard.

Sometimes a WordPress/PHP application gets stuck or behaves strangely, and restarting the entire server feels unnecessary. Having an application-level restart option could save time and make basic troubleshooting much easier.

A small feature, but I think it would be very handy for Cloudways users managing multiple applications.

  6. Better caching/performance presets for content-heavy informational sites

I run a content-focused informational site (nbiclearanceinfo.com) hosted on Cloudways, and it would help a lot if Cloudways offered a dedicated performance preset specifically for content/blog-style sites — separate from ecommerce or app-heavy presets. These sites have different needs: heavy on text/image content, less on database writes, but still need fast TTFB for SEO.

A built-in caching profile optimized for this use case (with clear guidance in the dashboard) would save a lot of manual tuning time for smaller publishers and niche content sites like mine.

  7. How to Improve Website Performance without using Paid plug-ins?

    Hi everyone,

I’m looking for practical ways to improve a website https://dfapassportappointmentt.com/ performance and overall user experience without relying heavily on paid plugins.

So far, I’ve been focusing on things like image optimization, cleaner page structure, reducing unnecessary scripts, improving mobile performance, and keeping the website lightweight. I’ve found that a few simple improvements can make a noticeable difference.

I’d be interested to hear what free techniques have worked well for other website owners, particularly for improving loading speed, mobile experience, and overall site performance.

Are there any simple or underrated optimizations you would recommend?

  8. Allow customers to create Cloudflare cache/CDN exclusions

Elementor is the most popular page builder for WordPress. There is a common problem with Elementor where automatic updates cause CSS to be regenerated but this is not detected by caching tools. This leads to the website displaying incorrectly until the cache is cleared.

Here are some posts on this topic:
    https://www.reddit.com/r/elementor/comments/1gv0ou2/i_love_elementor_and_i_highly_recommend_it/
    https://www.reddit.com/r/elementor/comments/ejhftq/site_keeps_losing_css/ fnf

A good solution to this problem is to exclude a specific directory from caching: /wp-content/uploads/elementor/css/

This is not currently possible on Autonomous because you are using Cloudflare Enterprise CDN and there are no options in Cloudways for us to customise the configuration.

    Please add some features…

  9. Performance Optimization for NBI Clearance and Similar High-Traffic Platforms

Websites handling services like NBI Clearance often face heavy traffic during application and verification periods. It would be helpful if Cloudways could offer more automated performance tools like smart caching, load balancing, or traffic spike handling to keep these platforms running smoothly.

For example, users going through the NBI process (as explained here https://nbiclear.ph/
) rely on fast loading and stable systems to complete forms and payments without issues. Improving these features would enhance reliability for similar high-demand service platforms.

  10. Quick Rollback feature

I would like to request a new feature for Cloudways that allows users to easily roll back to a previous deployment version when using Git-based deployments. At the moment, if a new deployment causes unexpected issues, there is no quick or straightforward way to revert to a stable version without manually redeploying an older commit or restoring from backups, which can be time-consuming and risky in production environments. A built-in rollback option that lets users view past successful deployments and revert with a single click would greatly improve reliability and reduce downtime. This would make the deployment process safer, especially…

  11. Customizable Multi-Application Overview

I hope Cloudways will introduce a comprehensive dashboard that provides an overview of all applications in a single, easy-to-read table. It would be extremely useful if key metrics such as disk usage, bandwidth consumption, CPU and RAM utilization, application status, traffic statistics, and backup information could be displayed in customizable columns. The ability to choose which metrics are shown, sort and filter applications, and save personalized views would make managing multiple applications much more efficient. Such a feature would help users quickly identify issues, monitor resource usage, and gain better visibility across their entire Cloudways environment without having to open…

  12. Unlock 200 Characters Limit When Setting Header Rules in the Web Rules UI

Currently, we cannot fully migrate our existing Content Security Policy because it exceeds 200 characters. The policy we intend to implement is over 600 characters long. While we could use a plugin to achieve this, adding one solely for this purpose would be redundant. This limitation is blocking our transition from a Hybrid Stack to a Lightning Stack.

  13. Optimization for Government Service Websites

    Hi Cloudways Team,

It would be great if Cloudways could introduce a performance optimization profile specifically for government and public service websites. These sites focus more on speed, structured content, and reliability rather than heavy design.

For example, platforms like https://thepifra.pk/ provide important service information where fast loading and stable performance are essential.

A lightweight optimization preset for informational and status-check type websites would really help developers in this space.

    Thanks for the great work!

  14. How to Optimize Website pages without paid plug-ins?

I'm looking for practical ways to optimize website pages without relying on paid plug-ins or expensive SEO tools.

So far, I've been focusing on image compression, internal linking, page speed improvements, unique meta titles, optimized headings, and mobile responsiveness. I've noticed that even small technical improvements can make a noticeable difference in user experience and organic visibility.

For example, while reviewing pages like https://nbiclearancce.com/nbi-clearance-requirements/, I found that well-structured content, clear headings, and easy navigation can often provide more value than installing multiple premium plug-ins.

What free optimization techniques have worked best for you? Are there any underrated methods for…

  16. Hosting Needs for NBI Clearance Information Websites

Websites that provide NBI Clearance information and verification guidance often face high traffic during peak periods. For such platforms, fast speed, uptime, and scalability are very important.

    A site like https://onlinenbiclearance.ph/
needs reliable cloud hosting to ensure smooth performance and a good user experience. Cloud-based solutions can help manage traffic spikes and keep pages loading fast.

It would be great to see more hosting optimizations for public service and verification-related websites.

  17. Separate memory limit setting for admin users vs regular visitors

Can you add a separate memory limit for admin users in the PHP Settings tab? I have sites that use lots of custom post types &. fields. Admin users typically run into performance issues when working in the back end.

I hate to increase memory for everyone and I am afraid to do anything custom in wp-config because I don't want to break anything.

If I could specify a larger memory for logged in admins like:

    if ( currentusercan( 'administrator' ) ) {
define( 'WPMEMORYLIMIT', '256M' ); // Higher limit for admins
    } else {
    define(…

  18. Custom Cloudflare Rules and Optimization Settings

Having Custom Cloudflare Rules and Optimization Settings would be critical to help provide exceptions or tweaks to rules so as to not break our websites since your default cloudflare settings may conflict with our websites.

  19. Do not disclose server versions in error messages

The version of Apache (Debian) server is disclosed in when attempting to browse to a WordPress endpoint as an unauthenticated user on our web application.

    The message reads:

    Forbidden
You don't have permission to access this resource.
Apache/2.4.63 (Debian) Server at [domain] Port 80

An attacker could use the information provided to attempt to identify vulnerabilities with the application.

We recommend you prevent the server version from being disclosed in error messages.

  20. allow granular local backups

Of course I use Cloudways off site back ups but I also need local back ups. Currently the only option for local backups is server level on / off - so all apps or none. I don't want a local backup of all my apps because 1) many apps are testing or staging and 2) backing up all my apps would kill my 40GB hard disk space. The option to take a local backup of one app should be in the UI, or at least in the API.
