We don't want your staging site appearing in search results, so we suggest to prevent Google from indexing its content. maybe by forcing a new Robots.txt or Blacklist search engines IPs

Totally agree — staging sites should be hidden. A simple robots.txt with Disallow: / works well.

Yes, there should be an option to apply a noindex directive to the header: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/crawling-indexing/robots-meta-tag
