Safeupdates on staging sites
Enable SafeUpdates on the staging side, perhaps leaving the option to choose whether to update live or staging or both.
The current configuration of SafeUpdates on the live site leaves staging uncovered, which requires a pull from live to be realigned.

This! I would likr there to be a possibility to create a staging website with SafeUpdates activated. My intention is to work and update only on my staging site. The live domain is solely used for pushing changes, and I do not want it to be updated or worked on directly. It seems that I can only activate SafeUpdates on the live domain.
