Allow Custom Root Directory Name When Creating a New Application
When creating a new application, Cloudways automatically generates a random root directory name. Although it is possible to rename the application directory later via Application Settings, the original default directory still remains on the server and cannot be deleted.
As a result, two directories exist for a single application. This becomes a management issue when creating multiple applications or subdomains. For example, if I create 30 subdomains, there will be 60 directories on the server, which makes server management confusing and inefficient.
It would be very helpful if Cloudways could allow users to define a custom root directory name during application creation, or automatically remove the unused default directory after renaming. This would greatly improve file structure clarity and long-term server maintenance.
