For US users, I’d start by checking your server location, enabling Cloudflare CDN, and turning on Redis or object caching if Cloudways supports it on your setup. Image compression and removing unnecessary plugins/scripts can also improve load times significantly.

I recently optimized my client website https://southwrap.com on Cloudways by compressing images, removing unnecessary plugins, enabling caching, and using Cloudflare CDN. It improved loading speed significantly for US visitors.
You should also check your theme/scripts because heavy plugins usually slow WordPress sites the most.
