I am requesting the installation of libvips-tools (libvips) at the system level on one of my Cloudways servers.

Technical reason
I need to use libvips as the primary image processing engine (resizing, thumbnail generation, AVIF/WebP conversion, and watermarking). libvips is significantly faster and more efficient in CPU and RAM usage than ImageMagick, especially for high-volume image workflows, and it is critical for my current production pipeline.

Specific requirements

• Package: libvips / libvips-tools
• Access to binaries (vips, vipsheader)
• Support for modern formats: AVIF, WebP, JPEG
• Persistent installation (not temporary)
• Available for execution from scripts and background workers

Context

• Platform: Cloudways
• Use case: intensive server-side image processing (event photography, large batches)
• Goal: reduce processing times and overall server load

Please let me know:

1. Whether you can install this directly on the server.
2. If not, whether there is an officially supported alternative (custom package, additional stack, or recommended procedure).
