Cloudways Review: Easy Managed Cloud Hosting with Solid Performance
If you're looking for a reliable managed cloud hosting solution, I’ve had a pretty solid experience with Cloudways so far.
What I like most is how simple they’ve made server management — you don’t need deep sysadmin knowledge to get things running. The platform supports multiple cloud providers like DigitalOcean, AWS, and Google Cloud, so you’ve got flexibility depending on your budget and scaling needs. Their built-in features like caching (Varnish, Redis), automated backups, and staging environments are also quite useful, especially if you're managing multiple sites.
Performance-wise, it’s been stable for me, and their support is generally responsive when something comes up.
For context, I run a content-based site (https://hellowordle.com/) on a similar stack, and having a managed environment really helps focus more on content and SEO rather than server issues.
That said, it may not be the cheapest option compared to unmanaged VPS, but the time saved and ease of use kinda makes up for it.
Curious to hear what others think — especially anyone using it at scale?

Really helpful review. Cloudways seems like a great middle ground between shared hosting and managing your own VPS from scratch. The flexibility of choosing providers like DigitalOcean or AWS is a big advantage, especially for growing websites. I also like that they include features such as backups, staging, and caching without needing complicated setup. For content focused sites, saving time on server management can definitely be worth the extra cost.
