An Armenian writer of Lebanese birth, Marlene Zaedyan's family history bears the scars of forced migration in the wake of the Armenian Genocide. She gained a deep and perceptive understanding of survival and resiliency while growing up in Lebanon during the Civil War, which are major topics in her book Nine Lives Endless Dreams: A Survivor's Story of Genocide and War. In addition to being a writer, Marlene is a proud grandmother of two and a loving mother to two special needs kids and a daughter. She is married and lives with her cherished dog, Mango. She has a degree in Chinese medicine, several certifications in holistic therapies, and has been a vegetarian for more than 30 years.
