NBAD balance inquiry discrepancy affecting automated billing reconciliation
I am currently managing client billing through Cloudways and reconciling incoming payments manually against our UAE bank account with National Bank of Abu Dhabi. We rely on daily balance inquiries and transaction exports from the bank to confirm which client invoices have actually been paid before marking them as settled inside Client Billing.
Over the past week I have noticed a recurring issue where the available balance shown in online banking does not match the closing balance reflected in the downloadable statement for the same date. In two cases, client transfers were visible in the transaction list but the available balance did not update until several hours later. This is creating confusion because we sometimes process reconciliations in the morning and the numbers are not aligned.
Since Cloudways does not yet have a direct integration with local UAE banks, we are depending on accurate balance inquiries to avoid marking invoices as paid prematurely. When the balance figure lags behind posted transactions, it becomes difficult to trust which amount is actually cleared and usable.
I would like to suggest exploring either better reporting controls within Client Billing to handle pending versus cleared payments, or potential support for integrating with regional banks like NBAD for more reliable reconciliation. If anyone else is managing UAE based payments alongside Client Billing, I would appreciate hearing how you are handling these balance timing differences without creating accounting inconsistencies.
