Iain, Aurora is cloud provider specific (AWS) and so goes against our philosophy of trying to create something as cloud provider agnostic as possible (to facilitate migration from one provider to another), so it is not an option we would consider with the current direction of Cloudways.

    If the customer knows which AWS datacenter the Cloudways instance is, could they spin an Aurora instance in AWS and have the CW server talk to it?
