Allow account owners/master user to create application credentials directly
I should be able to have full control over my team members. if i want to set their login password i should be able to do it, but as it stands right now I have to bother my user and ask them to perform a password creation step that they shouldn't have to.
I should be able to go to them and say "here is your access" as I don't want them to have access to the Cloudways console, I just want them to have an SFTP login, thats it. Requiring them to login and create their own credentials is not good for us.
Thank you for all your votes. We have now made it possible for account owners/master users to create as many application credentials as they like directly, without the need of creating team members first.
Please note that SSH access for applications will need to be enabled from within “Application Settings > General” in order for SSH to work for any application credentials created this way.

Just having a default application SFTP credential created would do the trick...

totally agree with this.
The console is in specific ways limited and impossible to work with for people access and control.I have even dropped Cloudways solution and moved to a different server/hosting supplier due to lacking such important feature.
Sorry, but things like this needs to be fixed very soon. -

yep, If we have Set limited access to specific application for a team member, then Access should be only to that app. and not to the other server resource (ie Server moniter, Backups, Vertical Scaling) just remove the complete Server Management tab.

I agree. It's intensely irritating to have to create a user then login and create an FTP user and then give that to a dev or the client. It's one step too many and requires me to log out and then in again multiple times.

I need this too. Also, I'd like to be able to restrict the restart / shutdown server commands like delete, clone etc. I want share out sftp credentials and access to single applications but I don't want to allow these users to shutdown or boot my server.

This is also something I require - providing access to certain folders, for certain users. I only want to use FTP into a specific folder where they can upload csv, xml, excel and image files to auto-sync products and stock. It's really a very important function! If it doesn't come fast, i sadly have to move my clients webshop(s) away. While I really appreciate your platform and it's easy use...

I need the ability to add FTP users for my clients. They don't need the whole console access, just FTP.
Also, I don't want to give full application access to prevent file deletion, etc..

Nothing more, yet this seems impossible with current console. -
