The worst support and most unreliable hosting service for WordPress
Dear Friends,
I have been using CloudWays for more than a year now and I have very honest feedback here for anyone planning to host WordPress websites. Cloudways support and hosting service is very very unreliable and they do not respect their customers at all, its my personal experience with CLOUDWAYS.
I had a very very bad experience. I requested from the billing team, prior to my hosting expiry date, that I need a billing extension as we are a startup and our funds will arrive in one week’s time. Mr. Ovais, a cloudways support member, gave me an extension for a week and assured me that services will stay active for one more week and then you can pay the bill. But friends when I woke up the next day, Cloudways had deleted all my servers and 50+ website instances. I was buried 100 feet down when I came to know this. I immediately contacted the support again, then Mr. Ovais told me that we have no clue how the system has deleted the servers and all websites. So he insisted that I pay the due bill and then only they will recover lost servers. But then again after paying and it did not recover the servers to their original state, the website did not start.
Now they tell me that your previous servers are lost and now you have to start the DNS mapping for each domain and email, so guys this was a work of 2-3 days and then still no good promise that all servers and websites will be in original shape again.
Cloudways actually help people spoil their good going business. They don't care how much effort we as customers make to build our small businesses and just for the sake of their timely bill collection, they literally blackmailed us and destroyed the hard work of months.
I would highly warn you guys to not consider this Cloudways very unreliable and non-accountable hosting service for WordPress.
Please stay away from Cloudways. Switch to any reliable service like Hostinger, WPengine, AWS, Digital Ocean as at least they care for their customers.
Thank you

Deleting servers after an agreed billing extension is the part that would worry me most, because backups and recovery should not depend on a vague support handoff. I would expect Cloudways to provide a clear incident report and a real restoration path before asking a customer to pay and then remap everything manually. Seeing unrelated casino-list links like https://pelipetokasiino.com/ , https://kanuunakasiino.com/ , https://shokkerkasiino.com/ , and https://vivatbetkasiino.com/ in the replies also makes the thread harder to take seriously, when the actual issue is business downtime and lost WordPress installs. Sandeep, if you still have any access logs or invoices, keep them together and push for escalation in writing so you can at least recieve a precise explanation.

That sounds incredibly frustrating, Sandeep. Losing entire servers and websites because of a billing miscommunication is unacceptable — especially when startups rely on consistent uptime to survive. In competitive online spaces like gaming and eSports, even a small outage can cost users their audience or rankings. That’s why I always recommend using reliable tools and resources, whether it’s dependable hosting or specialized platforms like Pokémon Team Builder (https://buildpokemonteam.com/) that let you focus on your strategy instead of worrying about sudden losses. Your experience is a strong reminder to choose partners that truly value long-term customer trust.

Wow, your Cloudways experience sounds absolutely devastating! Losing 50+ websites overnight is every entrepreneur's nightmare. While searching for hosting alternatives on YouTube, I discovered https://baixarsnaptube.com.br/ - it lets me download hosting tutorials and comparison videos from YouTube to watch offline. Super helpful when researching reliable services!
