Session timeout

When I was opened my Account in the Windows and returned back to MacBook, I noticed my session was expired.
Maybe that is the security feature on your system, but if it's a bug - I have a solution to fix this bug.
On my SPA-Cart I use
setInterval(function () {
$.ajax({
url: "/refresh", // Or any your PHP(or other) script. It can contain just one line: “<$?php start_session(); ?>”
});
}, 15000);
You can insert it on document ready function(like on jQuery) and it will keep your session always prolongated and never expired. It will not work(at least I think so) only on closed laptop.
So that way your session will not get expired.
