Tiny File Manager to Console
Open Source PHP File, light and extremely simple, It is a single executable file with no dependencies -

A file manager like you have on Cpanel is a tripple-must have feature. SFTP is so much slower.
Check out the cpanel file manager: you can
- quickly view/edit files on the fly
- with one click compress files and whole directories (zip, gzip, rar, etc.)
- you can upload large compressed files and unzip
- clone/copy/move files/directories directly on the serverNot having a native File Manager app is a major downer for us after migrating from another hosting company to Cloudways.
This cannot be that difficult to implement. -

What a pothetic company that doesn't have a file manager. And the don't take Discover card. We have to seriously ask how professional Cloudways really is...

I would love to have a file explorer from my application to edit, upload files, etc. Some sort of built-in ftp (graphical). This makes it accessible, quick and easy ...

Indeed. Looking to make a switch from Siteground but their file manager has been too helpful too often, and using SSH was not a pleasant experience last time I tried it.

Just adding my voice to this request. Need to upload and then unzip and SSH is way too complicated.

We would appreciate to have the possibility to use Midnight Commander (mc) on the console. This also has been suggested here:

We need a File Manager for some tasks. It feels like you're not in full control of your hosting, without this.

So the only way to upload files here is still through a FTP client? This option is really slow.

Holy cow, I don't believe there isn't a quick way to edit files on CW. FTP is fine for most of our projects, but many apps we rarely need FTP and just need to make a quick change every once in awhile. It takes a lot more steps on CW to do that than any hosting I've had in 15 years.

You can unzip via the unzip command at the SSH terminal.
Good luck.
