Being able to have multiple sftp accounts per application (currently just one) with access to just that application

This is part of a complete overhaul of the permissions system on the servers/applications and the functionality of the Teams feature. We started the process some weeks ago but implementation requires careful planning and thought.
At high level what we are doing (happy to hear your feedback):
* A new master user will be created for each server (new and existing). Master user will have full (SSH/SFTP) access to all apps (idea http://feedback.cloudways.com/forums/203824-service-improvement/suggestions/6975849-master-sftp-ssh-user-for-my-servers-access-to-all). Additionally master user will allow for multiple SSH keys (idea http://feedback.cloudways.com/forums/203824-service-improvement/suggestions/6937760-multiple-ssh-keys-per-server).
* Along with a much more fine grained control of permissions/access in the Teams section, we will be adding Application level there. So in Team now it will be possible to set users with full access to account, access to specific servers or access to a given application. Access to a given application will be through SFTP only accounts that will have only access to that specific applications and no more (unlike now, where SFTP user has access to all apps). As many SFTP users as wanted will be possible to add to a given application. SFTP users will also support multiple SSH keys.
We are careful during implementation (current stage), but must be much more careful to plan deployment. A number of UI changes related to this are needed too.
In any case, we are doing our best to release within the next month.

do you have an estimate date where you will finish this. Because it's highly important

We are already working on implementing this and following it on another idea (technically it will be additional sftp users) with many followers.
I am merging both.

It seems important to be able to create FTP users (similar to other hosts). This would be particularly helpful when hiring developers without having to give them access to the account.
The way it is now, you have to:
1) create a new team member
2) change the FTP password (through the shell)
3) give them to developer. they make changes.
4) Change FTP password again through the shell. This is not only cumbersome (working with the shell), but it is also insecure (reusing a single FTP username). The shell is not user friendly (and somewhat intimidating), and it sucks having to go through that process. It'd be nice to have a simple system for user management (preferably in the "team member control" section). This feature exists on many other hosts, so it doesn't seem unreasonable to have it.
Anyway, thank you cloudways team, you guys are still awesome.

This is must have feature for team of developers, clients access etc. Without this the service can only be used for small sites and not at professional or enterprise level.

Definitely a must when managing client accounts.

Yes, this is a necessity for us.

Yes, I too agree with this. Although we are like the Super Users, we at times set up online projects/sites for customers that barely understand. If there is a way for us to provide them with controlled/limited access...that would be a wonderful thing. Otherwise...we have to abandon ship here for such projects and go with hosts that provide such features.
I personally love the CLoudways security measures/features. So for my most intimate and personal sites, I keep those here. But at this time am not serving reselling of space as a result of the lack of this feature.

Basically, a better permission control.

Yes! I need to offer my clients FTP access to a specific folder, so they can upload media every week. I don't want them to have root access.

This is a good idea, my little brother has an application on my extra server, but when he connect's he has root access. I like working with a GUI. Zach doesn't understand Filezilla very well because he is still learning, what if he blows it up? Good thing I backup the server...
p.s. - this goes for client access too.

this would be useful indeed. As well as getting to manage FTP access as easily as currently is for Click&Go console. Access to C&G console should not necessarily display FTP access, or only those assigned to that users
