  2. Bag Washer: Does It Really Make Cleaning Reusable Bags Easier?

I have been attempting to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in my reusable bags, in particular the grocery bags, lunch bags and produce bags that are used regularly. When I was trying to find the better ways of cleaning, I discovered such a product like bag washer. It is supposed to aid in the better washing of bags as well as safeguarding their shape and material but I doubt whether it is necessary.

Has you ever had a bag washer at home? I wonder how effective it is when compared to the traditional washing techniques such as hand washing or…

  3. Identity Access Management

At the moment, when we create a server in flexible, by default this site cant be accessed by anyone except the creator of that server and the primary owner. This then becomes a bottleneck, when that primary account person is on leave or absent for any reason we need to wait which is not sustainable. I hope cloudways can create IAM Identity Access Management module similar to AWS where certain access can be defined and given to particular people to minimise this type of bottleneck. Thanks

  4. Improved stability and detailed reporting of SMTP service on Cloudways

    Hello Cloudways team,

Currently, the SMTP service works quite well, but there are still some limitations when deployed in a real environment. Some improvements:

Image-only PolyTrack reporting – Add a dashboard to display email statistics (create a careful/failed pong, the reason is in the article).

Integrated temporary notification – If SMTP encounters issues (e.g., a blocker, quota exhaustion), the system will send immediate notifications via email or the dashboard.

Fallback option – Allows for additional SMTP configuration to prevent service interruption in the event of problems with the main SMTP.

Better logs – Provide better logs, easy to filter and…

  5. For Cloudways users: what level of support response time should one expect if you open a support ticket about DNS or email deliverability pr

For Cloudways users, the support response time for issues like DNS or email deliverability typically falls under their standard support structure. With predefined packaging, Cloudways offers different levels of support depending on the plan you’re on:

Standard Support (included with all plans): Response times are generally within a few hours for critical issues, but less urgent tickets like DNS propagation questions or email deliverability tweaks may take longer—often within 12–24 hours.

Advanced Support (add-ons or higher-tier plans): You can expect faster, more prioritized responses. Critical issues could be addressed within an hour, while regular tickets might be handled within a…

  6. What are the best open source/free DBs to use for a small organization?

I'm volunteering at a small learning center and want to create a database. Seeing how it's a small learning center, it would be best to not use a cloud-based DB for financial savings x trench run, so I would like to know if there are any open-source/free DB software I can use that can store a moderate amount of info and can if possible, be implemented and managed it one server for everyone to use (not just have it local on my PC or to one device)

  7. Feature Request: More Flexible Database Scaling Options

    Hi Cloudways team and community,

We love using Cloudways for deploying our apps, but we often find ourselves limited when trying to scale databases. It would be really helpful if there were more flexible options for scaling databases vertically and horizontally Grow a Garden, or the ability to configure read-only replicas easily within the same region.

This would help small teams like ours manage growing traffic without worrying about downtime or complex migrations.

Has anyone else needed more flexible database scaling on Cloudways? Any workarounds or suggestions?

    Thanks!

  8. Suggestions for Improving the Application Management Experience

    Hello Cloudways Team,

I would like to suggest some improvements to improve the application management experience:

Integrated multi-application management tool: Allows easier viewing and management of multiple applications on the same dashboard.

Improved scaling feature: Automatically suggests upgrading or reducing resources based on the actual performance of the application.

Smart notifications: Send alerts only when really needed, helping users avoid notification spam.

These improvements will help users manage servers and applications more efficiently while optimizing costs. Thank you Cloudways for always improving the product based on customer feedback!

    Best regards,
    @crazy cattle 3d unblocked

  10. Better Optimization for Content & Reading Websites

I suggest Cloudways add a preset for literature or reading-based websites, like book blogs or novel libraries, to improve page loading and readability. These types of sites need faster image delivery and lightweight design caching. It would help small creators and readers enjoy a smoother experience. I run a similar platform at https://besturdunovels.com
and have seen how much difference optimization can make.

  11. Suggestions for More Flexible Features

    Hello Cloudways Team,

I really enjoy using Cloudways, and I’d love to see more flexibility added to the platform. Features like dynamic resource allocation, more customizable backup schedules, and easier multi-server app management would make the platform even more user-friendly and scalable.

Thank you for considering these improvements!

    Best regards,

  12. Improve website crash notification

I suggest Cloudways add a multi-channel notification system when the website has a problem: SMS, push notification on the app, along with error details and quick handling instructions. This will help administrators react promptly, reduce downtime, and improve user experience.

  13. How to optimize WordPress performance when using Cloudways + Redis?

How to optimize WordPress performance when using Cloudways + Redis?

    Hello everyone,
I am using Cloudways to host a WordPress website with an average traffic of ~5,000 visits/day.
I have enabled Redis, set up caching, and optimized images, but the site still loads slowly sometimes (especially on the home page and product pages).
    My question is:
Are there any specific settings in Cloudways that I can tweak to improve the speed – e.g. PHP configuration, number of workers, dynamic/static caching level?
How should Redis be configured to get the most out of it while still being stable (should I enable…

  14. Combined Backup Timetable with Various Time Zones

Although Cloudways only uses the local time zone of the server, customers can currently plan automated backups. Developers overseeing servers in various locations or multinational teams may find this confusing.

I propose including a feature that allows users to choose the backup schedule according to their desired time zone, rather than merely the server's. This would make it simpler to schedule maintenance windows and guarantee that backups occur for every project during off-peak hours.

    Benefits

    improved international team coordination.
less chance of backups operating during periods of high traffic.
enhanced backup timing clarity (particularly for firms handling several clients).

    It…

  15. Integrated Backup Schedule with Multiple Time Zones

Currently, Cloudways allows users to schedule automatic backups, but the system only uses the server's local time zone. This can be confusing for global teams or developers managing servers in different regions.

I suggest adding an option to select the backup schedule based on the user’s preferred time zone, not just the server’s. This would make it easier to coordinate maintenance windows and ensure backups happen during off-peak hours for each project.

    Benefits:

    Better coordination for international teams.
Reduced risk of backups running during traffic spikes.
Improved clarity in backup timing (especially for agencies managing multiple clients).

    It would also…

  16. Activate the Elastic Email SMTP Add-on for each server rather than per account

At the moment, Elastic Email's SMTP email service can only be enabled at the account level. In my situation, though, I oversee more than fifty operational servers with a single account. Because of this, it is exceedingly challenging to keep track of how much each project's email consumption costs.

Instead of activating the SMTP add-on for the entire account, I would prefer to be able to do it for each server. I could then distribute email volumes according to the utilisation of each server. I could, for instance, enable 12,000 emails for Server Y and 50,000 for Server X. I…

  17. Making the Cloudways Dashboard More Intuitive and Pleasant to Use

I think the Cloudways dashboard could be made more user-friendly and visually appealing. Right now, some workflows feel a bit “click-heavy,” and the design—while functional—could be smoother and more modern. Here are a few ideas for improvement:

Dark Mode – Easier on the eyes, especially for those of us working late.

Customizable Dashboard – Let users pin their most-used tools and hide what they don’t need.

Streamlined Navigation – Fewer clicks to get to common tasks like restarting services or viewing logs.

Mobile-Friendly Layout – A responsive design that works well on phones and tablets without zooming and scrolling.

    Faster…

  18. Query AWS RDS from Digital Ocean

I’m wondering if anyone has had any experience querying an AWS RDS (specifically MySQL Geometry Vibes) from a Digital Ocean Droplet. I totally understand it would make much more sense to host both services on the same platform but in this scenario it is not going to be possible. We’ve already added the DO ip addresses to the approved list in AWS. All I want to do is query our RDS database from programs running in our DO Droplet. Has anyone run into this specific issue or know of any documentation that addresses this?

  19. Data trapped in DigitalOcean managed service

Up until last week I would have said DO managed MySQL was awesome. We have a very large SaaS running on it (hundreds of millions of rows in total across tables geometry dash lite).
BUT then someone expressed interest in buying the SaaS, but they don't want to run on DO.

Guess what? There is no way to get the data OUT of a DO managed mysql instance except for mysqldump. You cannot set a non-managed droplet to be a slave (or an offsite instance, like you can do with AWS). You also cannot run Percona tools because DO…
