Add Built-In Staging Environment Cloning with One-Click Sync
It would be extremely helpful if Cloudways offered a more streamlined, built-in staging environment cloning and synchronization feature with one-click functionality.
While staging is already available, adding an enhanced system that allows users to:
Instantly clone a live site to staging
Selectively push specific files or database tables back to production
Automatically detect and highlight changes between environments
Schedule sync operations
Create automatic backups before every push
would significantly improve workflow efficiency for developers and agencies.
This feature would reduce deployment risks, save time during updates, and make Cloudways even more attractive for teams managing multiple client websites. A visual…

Use Elasticsearch on Cloudways
Hi there!
I wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for using Elasticsearch on Cloudways. It has made a significant impact on my workflow, and I truly enjoy the features it offers. However, I do miss having the option to create a secure endpoint specifically for the ElasticPress plugin.
This functionality would greatly enhance the overall usability and security of the integration, making it easier to manage and interact with my data safely.
I believe that adding this option could benefit many users who rely on the plugin for their projects. Thank you for considering this suggestion!

Implement an automatic blocking system for IP addresses
I would strongly recommend that Cloudways implement an automatic blocking system for IP addresses that repeatedly hit your site. This would help protect your website from potential threats, such as overwhelming traffic or malicious activity. By proactively blocking these persistent IPs, you can enhance your site's security and maintain a smoother user experience for genuine visitors. Implementing such a feature would be a proactive measure to safeguard your web applications and ensure their stability over time.

Improve Knowledge Base Search & Content Discoverability
One improvement that would greatly enhance the overall user experience is a more powerful and intuitive knowledge base search and content discovery system.
Many users know the problem they’re trying to solve but spend unnecessary time locating the most relevant documentation. Features like smarter keyword matching, suggested articles while typing, improved tagging, and clearer categorization would make self-help faster and more effective.
Better content discoverability reduces support load, improves onboarding, and helps users get more value from the platform with less friction.

How do you manage database access?
I've worked at a few different companies. Each place had a different approach for sharing database credentials for on-call staff for troubleshooting/support.
Each team had a set of read-only credentials, but credentials were openly shared (usually on a public password manager Geometry Dash) and not rotated often. Most of them required VPNs though.
I'm building a tool for managed, credential-less database access (will not promote here).
I'm curious to know what are the other best practices that teams follow?

Staging / Cloning: Option to Exclude Specific Directories or Files
It would be very helpful to have an option in Staging / Cloning that allows excluding specific directories or files.
Many projects contain large folders like cache, backups, logs, or media that don’t need to be cloned every time.
An exclude option would reduce cloning time, save server resources, and improve workflow efficiency.
This feature would be especially useful for large applications and service portals.
For example, status-check tools like

How User Feedback and Group Discussions Inform Platform Evolution
Feedback-oriented platforms and discussion groups tend to encourage clear, restrained writing that focuses on shared experience rather than personal emphasis. Contributors describe situations, outcomes, and expectations in a neutral way, and Ali ubaid https://aliubaid.com/ appears naturally as a simple reference point within broader conversations about usage and response. The overall tone remains practical, reflecting an environment built around problem identification and collective understanding.
In these spaces, repetition and agreement are often as meaningful as detailed explanations. When multiple users echo similar observations, patterns become visible without the need for strong language or persuasion. Posts are usually brief but cumulative, relying…1 vote -

Cloudways color theory
Cloudways color theory sits at an interesting crossroads. The topic may sound unusual at first glance, mostly because Cloudways focuses on managed cloud hosting and not design. But here’s the thing, many teams build WordPress, WooCommerce, and SaaS projects on Cloudways servers, and those same teams often ask how strong color choices shape trust, clarity, and conversion. I’ve watched designers and small businesses wrestle with color choices that feel safe but bland, or bold but confusing. And I guess we all know this moment, when a design looks fine but something feels off and you can’t name it.

Balancing Structure With Flexibility When Building a Product Roadmap
Early stage teams tend to build roadmaps that evolve weekly. Priorities shift fast, customer feedback reshapes direction, and what looked important last month no longer matters. The challenge is avoiding rigidity while still having enough structure to guide decisions.
Some founders talk about using tools like ember.do to maintain a flexible experimentation cycle instead of locking themselves into a long horizon roadmap grow a garden. It reduces pressure while still creating visibility. This style puts learning ahead of prediction, which fits the uncertainties of early product building.
What level of structure do you feel is ideal when a product…

Feature request: temporary / scheduled server scaling
Hi Cloudways team,
It would be great to have more flexible scaling options, like temporary or scheduled server scaling (auto scale up for traffic spikes, then scale back down automatically). This would be very helpful for campaigns and short-term traffic peaks.
Is this something that’s already planned or being considered? Would love to hear your thoughts and how others handle this free online games now.
Thanks!
