Install X-sendfile on Server
According to this article below, you mention using X-Sendfile to serve digital downloads for woocommerce. It is not currently installed on servers by default, and would be great if it was. Also to provide instructions on best way to setup for secure downloads for woocommerce.

automatic restart when server goes down
I think it's essential that the servers are fixed so that if they go down they automatically restart the server especially on digital ocean + vultr
A few times I've had the site receive a traffic spike out of the ordinary and it pulled my sites down until I manually rebooted it. It should be automatic.

Update Apache 2.4.28 or later after website failed penetration test
One of our clients recently undertook a penetration test on their site in accordance with their ISO application. It was highly recommended that Apache was upgraded to version 2.4.28 or later as Apache 2.4.10 was reported to have multiple vulnerabilities.
Most large UK based companies will undergo a similar ISO application so this should really be completed.
Thanks!

Add ability to set ServerTokens configuration in Apache
Often there is a desire by security teams not to expose verbose information about the versions of software and operating system running on a system. It would be great if the ServerTokens and ServerSignature configuration items were available to silence or minimize the information given. The motivation here is to prevent handing an attacker information about what older exploits might apply or not to your server.

Set Varnisch cache time on application level
Varnish hit rate is low on low traffic sites. By setting the cache time of varnisch on an application level you can beter manage site speed per application.

Allow NGINX to work in all but specified folders
I had crushed in a user case which required to manage file permissions via .htaccess RewriteRules, with files physically available inside web-visible folders instead of logic-protected folders, so I had been forced to have CloudWays disable NGINX for my server.
Instead, it would be nice to have a panel where to configure specific folders with Apache-based file serve, instead of NGINX-based.

Server speed
tools.pingdom.com lets me see the pageload speed of my site from various countries. I'd like to be able to compare servers before buying.
e.g. I tried Vultr in Singapore - very slow loading into Australia. Moved to Linode in Freemont - 2x the speed for the same site.
Took 2 days of setup and testing and trial accounts to work that out - perhaps there is an even faster server? I can't try them all.
Just put a 1mb web page on each server. Publish the url. Now I can compare at GTMetrix or Pingdom to choose the best server…

We need fixed private IPs to clone a server and attach the same IP to a new server or other workarround. Amazon has the fixed private ip.

Officially support running nodejs as an app user.
I've chatted with support and they told me you must run NPM and nodejs as a master user. This requirement makes per-app security impossible.

Choose PHP Version for every Application (not for Server)
It should be possible to choose different php versions on a single server. This is possible in most shared hosting environments and is a big advantage.
It is expensive to create a new server only because you need for example an old php version for a specific application which is not compatible.411 votes -
Support npm install --global
Right now, it throws a permission error. This is helpful for tools like gulp.

support naming application folders and databases arbitrarily
The current scheme is absolutely impossible to remember. Even when renaming folders, the randomly selected name remains as the new name is a link.
That means this would have to be asked for before anything has been set up.
Usually I want to name the folder and database to the (sub)domain or the actual application name. What's easier to remember than that?
Support at least letters, digits, "-", "_", ".", unless restricted by the database engine in question.

Add a button to apply MYSQL user ownership to the public_html directory
Adding a button to apply MYSQL user ownership to the files public_html directory for Moodle will save CSR time and allow them to work on more pressing issues. At the moment you have to contact Cloudways to fix the permissions on that folder after you upgrade your Moodle installation.
