Add detailed rule execution logs and activity monitoring for better transparency
I would like to suggest adding a more detailed logging and activity monitoring system within the platform. Currently, it can be difficult to understand what actions are being executed in the background, especially when troubleshooting issues related to deployments, backups, or server behavior.
A feature that shows real-time logs or a clear history of executed tasks (with status like success, failed, skipped) would greatly improve user experience. It would help users quickly identify issues without relying heavily on support.
Since Cloudways emphasizes flexibility and control in its hosting environment , having better visibility into system actions would make the platform…

Idea: It would be great to have an AI-powered website health assistant that automatically checks performance, security, backups, and optimiz
Great platform for sharing ideas and improving the Cloudways experience! I really like how users can suggest features and vote on improvements. One idea I’d love to see is an AI-powered website health assistant that automatically analyzes website performance, security, and optimization opportunities, then provides actionable recommendations in a simple dashboard.
I also enjoy exploring useful online tools, and recently I found https://bratgen.io/ very helpful for generating creative content and text ideas quickly.
Question: Would Cloudways consider adding an AI assistant that proactively identifies website issues and suggests fixes before they affect performance?
Keep up the great work! 😊

Question: Are there any future plans to introduce more advanced automation or AI-powered features for hosting management and website optimiz
I really appreciate the effort Cloudways puts into improving the platform and listening to user feedback. The overall hosting experience and performance tools are very helpful, especially for website owners and developers looking for reliability and speed. The dashboard is user-friendly and makes server management much easier compared to many other platforms.
One idea that could make the platform even better would be adding more built-in AI tools for automatic website optimization, content suggestions, or smarter performance monitoring. I think many users would find that extremely useful in the future.
Also, I enjoy exploring useful online platforms, and recently I…

Content-Heavy News Site Optimizations for WordPress Publishers
Cloudways could better serve high-traffic WordPress-based news and tech publications (e.g., https://techpilipinas.com ) by adding publisher-specific performance features.
Suggested improvements include:Smarter object cache management — fine-grained Redis/Memcached controls for news sites that publish dozens of articles daily and need cache purge strategies that don't nuke the entire store
Edge-side includes (ESI) support — to serve mostly-cached pages while keeping dynamic elements (ads, trending widgets) fresh without full-page bypasses
Built-in image optimization pipeline — automatic WebP conversion and responsive image delivery at the CDN layer, reducing origin load for media-heavy articles
Geographic traffic routing — smart routing for publications with…

Server Configuration Improvements for Streaming Applications
I suggest improving server configuration flexibility and performance optimization for streaming-based applications. Platforms like Senpai Stream APK require fast loading speeds, stable uptime, and efficient bandwidth handling to deliver high-quality movie, anime, and TV show streaming without interruptions.
Enhanced caching options, better CDN integration, scalable resources, and optimized media streaming support would greatly improve the user experience for streaming services hosted on Cloudways.
This would help developers manage high traffic more efficiently while ensuring smooth playback and reliable performance for users worldwide.like:https://senpaistreamapkdownload.com/

FAST-CGI Cache in Lightning stack with Breeze integration
FAST-CGI Cache is the best performance option for NGINX.
It should be enabled and integrated into Breeze.1 vote -
Unlimited Web Rules
I have some apps that are very slow on the back-office on page load. i was recommended to switch to the lightning stack which i would gladly do if there was unlimited web rules for my redirections as I can no longer use the .htaccess. As I have a lot of redirections in place via a plugin (Redirections / Rank Math) I am kind of stuck. Can you please look into that.

Native UI Caching Rules for Infinite Scroll & AJAX (For Webtoon/Comic Sites)
Our site, https://controllerandcape.com/, focuses heavily on comics, manhwa, and visual novels. Because of the vertical reading format that our audience expects, we rely heavily on infinite scroll and AJAX pagination to load sequential image panels seamlessly.
The problem is that standard caching solutions often bypass AJAX calls. This means every time a user scrolls down to read the next part of a comic or review, it hits the server's PHP workers directly, causing unnecessary CPU spikes during high-traffic hours.
It would be a massive game-changer if Cloudways introduced built-in, easy-to-toggle Varnish/Redis caching rules specifically designed to handle infinite scroll…

1-Click "Auto-Burst" Scaling for Media Publishers During Viral Traffic Spikes
Cloudways is fantastic for stable, predictable traffic, but digital media publishers face a unique challenge. Whenever our editorial team drops a day-one game guide or an exclusive review on https://thegamerreport.com/, we experience massive, unpredictable traffic spikes that can last for 24-48 hours before stabilizing.
Currently, handling these sudden surges requires manually scaling up the server (which sometimes involves cloning/migration downtime) and then manually scaling it back down.
It would be an absolute game-changer if Cloudways introduced an "Auto-Burst" feature. Allowing servers to dynamically allocate extra CPU/RAM for a short, metered period during viral spikes (and billing per hour for…

cloudflare
Improve the Cloudflare activation process significantly - it currently sucks. There's literally no way other than knocking a site offline to activate cloudflare! Despite it propagating, it will leave the site offline/showing unsecure potentially for hours after activating it. There must be a better way.

Allow Reset File/Folders Permissions to Work in private_html
Not all of us are using WordPress or something that has to go in the public_html folder.
We're working on a slim app that is completely housed in private_html. It communicates to our soon to be new plugin on a different domain (domain instead of the subdomain we use for the private app).
I know support can do this for us but it would be so much easier for your clients if you just expanded your utility,

Improve server monitoring with more granular, real-time alerts
Hi Cloudways team and community,
I’d like to suggest an improvement around server monitoring and alerts. The current monitoring is helpful, but it would be great to have more granular, real-time alert options that users can customize in detail.
For example:
Separate alert thresholds for short spikes vs sustained high usage (CPU/RAM/disk I/O)
More control over alert frequency to avoid notification spam
Ability to create custom alerts based on combined conditions (e.g. high CPU and slow response time)
This would be especially useful for production sites where brief traffic spikes are normal, but longer performance degradation needs immediate attention.

Safe Lock a server from deletion
There should be a safety lock on servers for api deletion. This would require a second, separate step in order to delete a server. This would prevent any accidental deletions in the UI as well as API.

Launch a Digital Ocean Server in Dubai
Subject: Request to Launch a Dubai-Based Server
Dear Team,
I hope this message finds you well.
I would like to kindly request you to consider my feedback regarding server location availability. As someone who supports numerous clients running businesses in Dubai, I’ve noticed that DigitalOcean currently lacks a server presence in the region. At present, we are using servers located in Bangalore.
Dubai is one of the fastest-growing business hubs in the Middle East, and having a locally-based server would be a significant advantage for developers and digital service providers like us. While AWS does offer servers in the region,…

Lightning Stack: Enable Better Support for htaccess dependent Plugins
Feature Request: Enable Nginx Rules File Management & Better Support for htaccess-dependent Plugins
As a professional web developer working with agencies and clients who rely on plugins that modify the htaccess file for security or functionality, I believe it is crucial for Cloudways’ Lightning stack to provide:
• The ability to directly manage or edit nginx rules files, especially since the Lightning stack does not support .htaccess modifications. • Enhanced compatibility or documented workflows for commonly used WordPress plugins that depend on htaccess rules. This feature would significantly facilitate deployment and security configurations for professional developers and agencies, ensuring robust…

Add ability to exclude varnish caching for relative url's on a server level.
Ability to exclude varnish caching relative for url's on a server level. Need /availability to not be cached on all sites hosted on a server. Such as not caching the relative url /availability on all sites hosted on a server. Would prevent having to configure settings on multiple applications.

PHP 8.4 Upgrade
PHP 8.4 was released in November 2024 and I think it would be great to have PHP 8.4 rolled out as an option for CloudWays servers. Currently the max PHP version you can select is 8.3.
