We have added the requirement in our roadmap & we will be making Opensearch available along with Magento 2.4.8 by June 2025.

An error occurred while saving the comment I can't believe this critical issue hasn't been implemented yet! It is critical for Magento's future updates and has been announced by Magento for over two years now. Cloudways, you are abandoning your Magento users on your servers!!

It is a MUST for all Magento users! We are not able to update future updates! Cloudways, you are abandoning Magento users and making our websites and your servers vulnerable to hackers by blocking us from future updates! Magento users have been begging for OpenSearch for almost two years already!
