This makes a lot of sense. Maintaining hosts file entries across machines and environments is error-prone and doesn’t scale well.
A dedicated testing URL per server keeps configuration cleaner, reduces local setup overhead, and makes switching between environments far easier especially for QA and CI pipelines.

Thats it! thank you for letting me know, apologies for the suggestions it was just your online chat guys said it was not possible and had to edit the hosts file (bit of a faff)

Alex, we already provide a FQDN under cloudwaysapps.com domain for each application.
You can find it in Application tab under Application URL (before you map a primary domain).
Assume this is what you refer to as testing URL.
