Fully support Composer on WordPress applications
WordPress applications do not have full support for Composer.
We used a Composer-based stack https://roots.io/bedrock/ and https://roots.io/sage/ so this is critical for usage.
Examples:
1. We cannot runcomposer global configcommand because we do not have write access to ~/.config/composer. This is important so we can setup authentication for private Composer repositories
2. Runningcomposer installresults in errors unable to store in cache directory due to not having write permissionsError for #2

Improve Staging Environment
I want to establish a workflow where all content changes and Wordpress updates are exclusively done on the staging website. Neither my clients nor I make changes directly to the live domain ever.
