   I personally feel that, since your service functions as a tool, it should prioritize giving users as much relevant data as possible rather than limiting or hiding it. One of the main strengths of a good tool is efficiency—being able to access information quickly, clearly, and with minimal friction. In that regard, the old UI felt significantly more effective. It was more compact, better organized, and allowed users to take in a larger amount of information at a glance without having to dig for it. With the current UI, it feels like that efficiency has been reduced. Information that was previously visible upfront now often requires multiple clicks or extra navigation steps to access. That added friction makes even simple tasks feel slower and more cumbersome than they need to be. 4. Lightning Stack Configurations for Subdirectory Installations

   Hybrid stack is currently required for WordPress sites that are installed under a subdirectory folder (e.g. example.com/courses which loads /public_html/courses/index.php) — .htaccess gives rewrite rules that are currently needed to make this setup possible.

   For websites with a strong SEO presence, a subdirectory installation in critical to maintain good standings with Google. The alternative subdomain approach (courses.example.com) would devastate SEO history.

   This feature request is to add configurations to Lightning Stack so that subdirectory installations are possible.

5. Bug Report: SSH/SFTP Users Not Visible to All Admins in Application Settings

   Hi Cloudways team,

   I'd like to report what I believe is a bug in the application SSH/SFTP user management UI.

   When an admin creates an additional SSH/SFTP user under Application Settings, that user is only visible to the admin who created them. Other team admins cannot see the user in their control panel at all.

   This is a problem because SSH/SFTP users are system-level accounts, they exist on the server and are shared infrastructure, not personal preferences tied to a specific Cloudways admin. In a team environment:

   • Other admins have no visibility into what system users exist
   • There's no way to audit credentials or identify who has server access
   • If another team member needs SSH/SFTP access, they cannot see the existing user and may attempt to create a duplicate, causing silent failures or conflicts
   • CI/CD pipelines that rely on a shared SSH user become opaque to anyone who didn't create it

   We hit this directly when our CI/CD pipeline SSH user was created by one admin and a colleague couldn't see it when they needed to troubleshoot a deployment.

   I raised this with support and was told it's "obvious" behaviour, but I'd respectfully push back on that. It's intuitive for personal SSH keys or per-user preferences to be scoped to an individual, but a system user that grants server-level access should be visible to all admins managing that application. Hiding it is a security and operational risk.

   Requested fix: SSH/SFTP users created under Application Settings should be visible to all admins with access to that application, consistent with how other shared application resources are displayed.

6. Http/2 Proxy Issue

   1. They should know their Apache config has an HTTP/2 proxy issue The fact that enabling HTTP/2 to Origin in Cloudflare breaks the Apache → Varnish routing is a platform bug on their side. Other Cloudways customers using Cloudflare with Varnish will have the exact same problem without knowing it. Worth flagging so they can fix it properly in their Apache VCL configuration rather than relying on HTTP/2 to Origin being disabled as a workaround.
   2. It's a workaround, not a proper fix Disabling HTTP/2 to Origin works, but HTTP/2 has real performance benefits — multiplexed connections, header compression, faster connection establishment. Ideally Cloudways should fix their Apache configuration so Varnish works correctly with HTTP/2 connections from Cloudflare, giving you both benefits simultaneously.
   3. It could break again If anyone re-enables HTTP/2 to Origin in Cloudflare in future — you, a developer, or even a Cloudflare default change — Varnish will silently stop working again with no obvious indication. Having Cloudways fix the root cause means you're not dependent on that one Cloudflare toggle staying off. What To Tell Them Simplify the ticket to: "HTTP/2 to Origin in Cloudflare causes Apache to bypass Varnish completely on application Disabling HTTP/2 to Origin resolves it. Please fix the Apache → Varnish proxy configuration to handle HTTP/2 connections correctly so both can work simultaneously." It's a quick flag rather than an urgent support request now — but worth having on record with them.

    It would be very useful to have an option in Staging or Cloning that allows users to exclude certain files or folders. Many projects include large directories such as cache, backups, logs, or media files that do not need to be copied every time a clone is created.

    Adding an exclude option would help reduce cloning time, save server resources, and make the workflow faster and more efficient. This feature would be particularly helpful for large applications and service portals.
