subdomain configuration without auto adding 'www' into the database for Home URL and site URL
subdomain configuration/assignment to an application without auto adding 'www' into the database for Home URL and site URL (in the option table). When we configure a dubdomain for an application, ex : sub.mysite.com, it writes 'www.sub.mysite.com' into the siteurl field and home filed into the Database.

There should be a process at the cloudways level to facilitate this communication between the infrastructure providers and your end user/customers.

Exclude HTML from Nginx static cache
Currently HTML is included in the static cache of nginx.
This results in pushing an expires 30 days header on html content request and ignoring htaccess directives.This is particulary dangerous, since there is no way to purge that cache unless the expiration on nginx is set to 0 for all assets.

Ability to Work on Apps while Process is Running on Server
It seems kind of strange that when I install and app to a server I am not able to do anything else on the server. I know it says the adding of a new app only takes about 2 min, but some times it takes longer(currently it has been running for 15min for me) during this time if I try to access another App it tells me the server is busy. This seems very inefficient especially if you have multiple people working on the apps and server. It would be great if I was able to still have access to…

Make Cloudways RESTful Api Discoverable
It would be awesome if cloudways' RESTful API was discoverable. That way I wouldn't have to manually update my code when the api changes. I could also pull the api info in and constructed the functions needed to use the API with out having to hardcode anything.

Allow arrow key navigation from console search
Would be great is after performing a search, you can press down on the arrow key to select the application required from the returned results.

Implement custom caching plugin (solution) by Cloudways
I think cloudways should come out with their own caching plugin (solution). In my case, it's specific to WP.
The reason being, caching solution works differently from host to host, and is not one solution fits all. And plugins from time to time come out with new versions that may break lots of things, and a ton more reasons.
As cloudways implement lots of custom stack and caching, they should also use and release updates pertaining to their install.
Unless you have a better way, at least when a new version is released, and cloudways has already tested the version…

Allow changing Varnish config file (VCL) after application setup
A dropdown with options next to the "Varnish Toggle" button allowing us to choose which VCL is configured with this application would allow us flexibility to change our stack without having to create a whole new application and reconfigure ours.

The ability to set up client hosting accounts directly from within our own account.
The ability to set up client hosting accounts directly from within our own account and have them linked to have direct access without having to log out, log into the other account, set up migrations, etc
This would save the 2 week free trial that my clients don't need. They are only using you because I am suggesting/making them so they don't need anything free. You make more money and it makes our life easier and saves us time.

The whole root thing drives me crazy - but i hear your reasoning. Need root to install various packages. why not let users install packages from set list of repositories ? you can always block certain ones.

Allow a team member to have SFTP access to multiple applications without requiring to create multiple SFTP accounts
Would like an easy way for the account owner to create SFTP/SSH account (login/password) creation for team members and then assign those accounts to various servers/applications.
Account owner should be able to delete/disable/suspend account, but the team members don't need to setup or activate their own account.

Fail over to a different server
setup failover site on the different servers and in case of failover you can autoswitch the site to the failover
i.e Main site on AWS large, fail site on AWS small or Ocean Drop or other provider

let Live Chat support see details of my account
I'm using Live Chat while logged into my account, yet the staff never seem to know anything about who I am.
Even when I provide the console URL to the application or server I'm having trouble with, I still get asked for the server IP and/or Application Name.
The Support Staff would come across far more efficient if they could access the details in my account rather than having me repeat details stored in your own databases.
