Scope access tokens to specific servers and applications
Right now, Access Tokens can be limited to specific API endpoint groups or individual operations using Limited Access. However, tokens are still account-level and cannot be restricted to a single server.
It would be very useful if tokens could be scoped to a specific server. This would allow integrations, automation tools, and scripts to operate only on one server instead of having access to all servers in the account.
Example use cases:
- Monitoring tools that only need access to one production server
- Deployment scripts tied to a single staging server
- Third-party integrations that manage only one environment…

Better visibility into server resource usage
I think Cloudways could make server monitoring more useful by showing a simple historical breakdown of CPU, RAM, disk I/O, and database usage per application.
When several applications share one server, wheelie life can be difficult to tell which site is actually causing a spike. A per-application view with hourly/daily history would make troubleshooting much easier and help decide when an application or server needs to be scaled.
Even a basic resource dashboard with usage trends and alerts would be a big improvement.

Online dating has become a normal part of meeting new people. I like that you can start a conversation without the pressure of approaching someone in person. It gives you time to learn about a person, discover common interests, and see if there is a real connection. Granular Resource Monitoring for Specific Sub-directories/Tools
Hi Cloudways team, I am building a multi-utility platform at https://toolfount.com/ and hosting various micro-tools on it. It would be helpful if we could get a feature to monitor real-time RAM/CPU usage isolated by specific sub-directories or routing paths. Currently, it's hard to tell which specific tool is consuming more server resources during traffic spikes. This would help developers optimize their code much faster. Thanks!

Suggestion: Add smarter resource monitoring for scheduled updates
It would be useful if Site Manager could provide more granular resource monitoring before and during bulk updates. For example, detecting CPU/RAM usage and automatically slowing or pausing updates when a server becomes heavily loaded could make large-scale maintenance safer.
A configurable concurrency limit combined with automatic throttling would also help users manage multiple applications without affecting live traffic.

Read-only SSH users
I would like to be able to add SSH users with read-only permissions. Currently this is possible when contacting support but I cannot do this via the Cloudways management dashboards. The additional drawback with contacting support to do this is that the read-only user does not show up in the SSH/SFTP application access area after it is set up so it is a also not great as is in terms of changing API keys or visually confirming who has SSH access or revoking access. This is similar to how Cloudways is using its API key area.

Idea / Suggestion for Cloudways Feedback
It would be helpful to have a clearer way to pause or schedule automated backups during short development windows.
When working on small side projects (for example a simple landing page or even something light like oops games), I sometimes need to push multiple quick changes in a short period. The current backup frequency can create unnecessary restore points that clutter the list and take extra storage.
A simple pause backups for X hours option or a temporary lower-frequency setting on staging/production would make these short iterative sessions cleaner without disabling backups completely. This would keep the platform flexible…1 vote -

Add server-aware concurrency limits and automatic load throttling to Site Manager updates
Site Manager can run updates across multiple applications, but it does not currently provide a configurable per-server concurrency limit or pause pending updates when server resources become constrained.
This makes bulk updates risky on servers hosting many applications, particularly when SafeUpdate is creating backups, temporary staging environments and visual comparisons.
Please add:
- A configurable maximum of 1, 2, 3 or more concurrent updates per server.
- An automatic mode based on CPU, available memory, load average, PHP workers, MySQL pressure and disk I/O.
- Automatic queuing or pausing when safe thresholds are exceeded.
- Separate controls for Quick Update and SafeUpdate.

Let Users Choose Their Preferred Data Center
I think Cloudways could improve its server setup experience by giving users more control over the specific data center they want to use.
For example, DigitalOcean may have multiple data centers within the same city or region, but the current interface appears to offer only a broader location choice. Being able to select the exact data center would make it easier to optimize server latency and performance for a particular audience.

Preloading the Hero Image Reduced Our LCP Significantly
We were struggling with a poor Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) score on one of our content-heavy websites. The hero image was only being discovered after the CSS loaded, delaying the largest paint.
Adding a preload tag for the featured image and serving it in WebP format made a noticeable difference. We also excluded the hero image from lazy loading.

For a content-heavy WooCommerce site with many custom packaging product pages, it would be extremely useful to have more granular caching controls directly inside Cloudways.
Instead of clearing the entire application cache whenever I update a single product, page, CSS file, or image, Cloudways should provide:
- Purge cache for a specific URL
- Purge cache for a specific WordPress post/product
- See whether a URL is currently cached
- Automatically purge the affected URL when a WordPress/WooCommerce page is updated
- Separate controls for page, object, and CDN cache
- Cache purge history/logs
- Optional Cloudflare cache…
