Cloudways domains are currently not working on safari, possibly due to an HTTPs configuration error.
All applications with a cloudways domain, i.e. phpstack-xxxxxxx-xxxxxxx.cloudwaysapps.com are receiving the following error when served with HTTPS:
"Safari can’t open the page because the server unexpectedly dropped the connection. This sometimes occurs when the server is busy. Wait for a few minutes and then try again."
The fix is to add an htaccess rule to the web root folder:
"Header unset Upgrade"This does work, however it seems like there is a Cloudways HTTPS configuration error that could be addressed.
Thanks!

wp-config file permissions for secure install
Wordpress wp-config file permissions are 664, should be 640 I think. This is the first thing I changed after migrating our sites here. 664 means the DB credentials are readable by any bot, malware scanner, or public user. We got hacked 10 years ago on this very setting being open to the public.

Allow Supervisor configuration also for Magento application
Right now it's possible to install supervisor service, but not possible to add configuration/jobs for it.
Supervisor works in the exact same way no matter what the application is, so since this is already working on custom php app, the exact same functionality should be made available also on Magento type applications3 votes -
Don't recommend Martfury theme for Magento 2
https://www.cloudways.com/blog/best-magento-themes-and-templates/
Some days ago I read above mentioned cloudways article about good multistore multipurpose magento 2 themes.
Then I purchased Martfury theme on themeforest. They don't say anything on their listing page that their theme is "single store only" type theme and if you want multistore on Martfury theme then you have to purchase their theme over and over. That means if you want 10 store views under single magento installation using magento mulistore setup, you have to purchase Martfury theme 10 times ! Yes they want you to keep paying them over and over for each storeview setup you…

To create a staging site /wp-admin URL under access details for a staging site.
There is a need to access a staging site's wp-admin URL. However, I could not find it as there is no "admin panel" under "access details" in Cloudways' application setting.

Set default password lengths to 15 characters, not 10
Currently, the default application password length is 10 characters. I suggest that should be 15 in 2023.

wildcard aliases should behave as expected
adding a wildcard subdomain alias to an application breaks other subdomains. eg. If I have an alias of *.domain.com on domain.com and also sub.domain.com as another application, then sub.domain.com will be broken because php scripts will be served form domain.com. this is a bug

Create an upgrade path for Object Cache Pro when moving from 1Gb to 2Gb+
When moving from 1Gb to a higher RAM it would be good to either:
Highlight the lack of integration for Object Cache Pro for existing assets and what needs to be done (migration) to get Object Cache Pro
Create a routine that adds Object Cache Pro automatically to existing assets on server upgrade1 vote -
Reset Wordpress
Cloudways makes it very easy to delete a WordPress application. However, I have to perform the same steps (assigning domain name, SSL certificate etc) when reinstalling a fresh WordPress installation.
I would like to suggest a reset button for wordpress which would reinstall a clean wordpress installation and database, so the domain and SSL would not need to change.

Allow users to enable PHP extensions that do not already exist on Cloudways.
For many applications, plugins, etc. - we may need to enable PHP extensions that aren't already enabled - and are not explicitly set in the "disable php extensions" list.
(eg. settimelimit() )

Be able to exclude certain objects from Redis (Object Cache Pro)
Hi, it would be very useful to be able to exclude certain objects from the Object Cache Pro plugin.
I currently have a setup in which a certain post query varies from user to user, and Redis caches it, serving one user's cached version to the rest of users, which breaks my site's functionality.
So now I'm forced to fully deactivate the plugin, instead of just leaving that certain object out of the cache.

Add "click to copy" on IP Addresses on the Servers list page
I just found that I can't highlight an IP address with the mouse to copy it without triggering a click event on that page. Adding the "click to copy" next to the IP address would make it easier to share IP addresses with support if I didn't have to click through to the server details page to copy the IP address.

SafeUpdate: ignore dynamic content in screenshot comparisons
If you have a slider or other dynamically changing content on your website (ads, banners, etc), those will often look different in the SafeUpdate before/after screenshots - causing the updates to be aborted. There should be a way to exclude these areas, e.g. using CSS selectors. Other hosting providers offer this option with their safe updating tools.
