  1. Better Tools for Public Financial Management Websites and Systems

I’ve been working on improving government-related financial reporting systems like ffars tamisemi, a platform in Tanzania that manages public funds more transparently for schools and healthcare facilities.

One of the biggest challenges with hosting such systems is ensuring stable performance, data safety, and quick access, especially when handling real-time financial transactions. It would be great if Cloudways could introduce optimized server configurations or templates specifically for financial management and reporting systems that need secure database syncing and real-time analytics.

This improvement would help not just developers working with tools like FFARS but also organizations building similar public service platforms that…

  2. Suggestions for Improving the Application Management Experience

    Hello Cloudways Team,

I would like to suggest some improvements to improve the application management experience:

Integrated multi-application management tool: Allows easier viewing and management of multiple applications on the same dashboard.

Improved scaling feature: Automatically suggests upgrading or reducing resources based on the actual performance of the application.

Smart notifications: Send alerts only when really needed, helping users avoid notification spam.

These improvements will help users manage servers and applications more efficiently while optimizing costs. Thank you Cloudways for always improving the product based on customer feedback!

    Best regards,

    Hello Cloudways Team.
First of all, I have to say that I really like the value that Cloudways brings. However, I don't know when you update new bug fixes or updates? How often? Can I set up automatic updates?

  4. Multiple subdomain staging servers

As I have checked, Cloudways does not provide staging servers for multiple domains. I think it should support staging with multiple domains, as that would make it much easier for users.

  5. Integrate Zero Knowledge Proof (ZKP) for Privacy-First User Verification

As privacy regulations tighten and user expectations evolve, Cloudways has a unique opportunity to lead by example in secure, privacy-first infrastructure. I propose integrating Zero Knowledge Proof (ZKP) protocols into the Cloudways platform to enable data-minimized user verification and secure access control without exposing sensitive information.

  6. public holidays of Liberia

    ChatGPT said:

The public holidays of Liberia reflect a rich tapestry of national identity, history and religious tradition. Celebrations such as Independence Day, Flag Day and Decoration Day honour moments of national pride, while observances like the birthdays of past leaders and Fast & Prayer Day highlight cultural memory and spiritual reflection. If a fixed-date holiday falls on a weekend, the following weekday is often declared a day off

  7. Feature Request – Push/Pull Support for Subfolder WordPress Installations in Staging Environments

    Dear Cloudways team,
I’d like to suggest a potential improvement to your staging environment system, specifically regarding WordPress installations that include subfolder setups.
Currently, the push/pull functionality works well for the main WordPress installation. However, when a subfolder WordPress installation exists within the primary site directory (e.g., /public_html/subsite/), the staging feature doesn’t distinguish between the main and subfolder installations. This means the staging site can only perform push/pull operations for the main WordPress instance, not for a separate subfolder WordPress installation.
    Proposed Improvement
It would be very useful to:
Allow the staging environment to recognize and handle subfolder WordPress installations…

  8. Preserve WP-CLI Error Logs in SafeUpdates for Better Troubleshooting

I'm requesting an enhancement to the SafeUpdates feature to preserve detailed WP-CLI error messages after the staging environment is cleaned up.

    Current Issue:
When SafeUpdates fails (particularly with premium plugins showing SU-103 errors), the detailed WP-CLI error output is lost when the temporary staging environment is destroyed. This makes troubleshooting nearly impossible, as we only get generic error codes.

    Requested Feature:
Please add the ability to capture and store the complete WP-CLI error output from failed updates, making it accessible in the SafeUpdates history or logs section.

    Business Impact:
Without detailed error messages, SafeUpdates has limited value for sites with…

  9. Integrated SEO & GEO Performance Dashboard for Developers and Entrepreneurs

As an Entrepreneur | SEO & GEO Expert | Full Stack Developer https://aliubaid.com/, I’ve used Cloudways for multiple client projects and appreciate its performance-focused hosting. However, it would be great if Cloudways introduced an SEO analytics dashboard inside the hosting panel — showing page speed metrics, GEO-based performance, and uptime impact on rankings. This addition would help professionals like me monitor both technical SEO and hosting performance without relying on external tools.

  12. Better Optimization for Content & Reading Websites

I suggest Cloudways add a preset for literature or reading-based websites, like book blogs or novel libraries, to improve page loading and readability. These types of sites need faster image delivery and lightweight design caching. It would help small creators and readers enjoy a smoother experience. I run a similar platform at https://besturdunovels.com
and have seen how much difference optimization can make.

  13. Suggestions for More Flexible Features

    Hello Cloudways Team,

I really enjoy using Cloudways, and I’d love to see more flexibility added to the platform. Features like dynamic resource allocation, more customizable backup schedules, and easier multi-server app management would make the platform even more user-friendly and scalable.

Thank you for considering these improvements!

    Best regards,
    @Retro Bowl 26

  14. Improve website crash notification

I suggest Cloudways add a multi-channel notification system when the website has a problem: SMS, push notification on the app, along with error details and quick handling instructions. This will help administrators react promptly, reduce downtime, and improve user experience.

  15. The recovered app's URL is being modified.

After restoring deleted apps with temporary URLs, the URLs switch to another temporary URL. Accidental deletion could lead to significant issues because of this URL change. Additionally, since the deleted apps were WordPress sites, the stylesheets path is altered, requiring me to reach out to the support team for assistance. I also didn't realize that the app name would be changed to 'recover-appname,' so I had to search for the app once the recovery was complete.

Fixing the temporary URL change after recovery would be a lifesaver.

  16. How to optimize WordPress performance when using Cloudways + Redis?

How to optimize WordPress performance when using Cloudways + Redis?

    Hello everyone,
I am using Cloudways to host a WordPress website with an average traffic of ~5,000 visits/day.
I have enabled Redis, set up caching, and optimized images, but the site still loads slowly sometimes (especially on the home page and product pages).
    My question is:
Are there any specific settings in Cloudways that I can tweak to improve the speed – e.g. PHP configuration, number of workers, dynamic/static caching level?
How should Redis be configured to get the most out of it while still being stable (should I enable…

  17. Optimizing Core Web Vitals on Cloudways – What’s Working for You

With Google's emphasis on Core Web Vitals becoming more critical for SEO and user experience, I’ve been working on improving LCP, FID, and CLS across several sites hosted on Cloudways (mainly WordPress and WooCommerce).

I’ve tried a few strategies like:

    Enabling Varnish and Redis caching

    Tweaking Breeze and Cloudflare settings

Using Image optimization tools like ShortPixel and WebP conversion

Implementing Critical CSS and lazy loading

I’d love to hear what’s worked best for others here. Are you relying more on server-level tweaks or front-end optimization? Any plugin or Cloudways setting you swear by?

    Let’s share tips, tools, and real-world results—especially…

  18. Combined Backup Timetable with Various Time Zones

Although Cloudways only uses the local time zone of the server, customers can currently plan automated backups. Developers overseeing servers in various locations or multinational teams may find this confusing.

I propose including a feature that allows users to choose the backup schedule according to their desired time zone, rather than merely the server's. This would make it simpler to schedule maintenance windows and guarantee that backups occur for every project during off-peak hours.

    Benefits

    improved international team coordination.
less chance of backups operating during periods of high traffic.
enhanced backup timing clarity (particularly for firms handling several clients).

    It…

  19. Integrated Backup Schedule with Multiple Time Zones

Currently, Cloudways allows users to schedule automatic backups, but the system only uses the server's local time zone. This can be confusing for global teams or developers managing servers in different regions.

I suggest adding an option to select the backup schedule based on the user’s preferred time zone, not just the server’s. This would make it easier to coordinate maintenance windows and ensure backups happen during off-peak hours for each project.

    Benefits:

    Better coordination for international teams.
Reduced risk of backups running during traffic spikes.
Improved clarity in backup timing (especially for agencies managing multiple clients).

    It would also…

  20. Fully support Composer on WordPress applications

WordPress applications do not have full support for Composer.

We used a Composer-based stack https://roots.io/bedrock/ and https://roots.io/sage/ so this is critical for usage.

    Examples:
    1. We cannot run composer global config command because we do not have write access to ~/.config/composer. This is important so we can setup authentication for private Composer repositories
    2. Running composer install results in errors unable to store in cache directory due to not having write permissions

    Error for #2
Cannot create cache directory /home/12345.cloudwaysapps.com/abcde6/.cache/composer/files/, or directory is not writable. Proceeding without cache. See also cache-read-only config if your filesystem is read-only.
