  2. Informational webpage displaying all installed tools on the servers

It's great to discover that we have pre-installed tools such as Git and Composer on the PHP stack servers, but I can't seem to find an up to date webpage that lists all of the current tools installed. If there is not a page for this, could we have one made? It would help with forward planning and knowing which servers support which tools.

  4. Create a vagrant file so we can replicate the server locally

Not sure if this should go in stacks or server settings.

Anyway for us developers it would be really good to be able to use a vagrant file to spin up a local copy of your server with settings so we can build on the exact same platform as live.

Vagrant is a quick and easy way to share virtual machines, and would allow developers to develop tools on a platform which matches live.

Thanks Paul. Would a docker image suit the same needs?. Assume so. We are leaning towards it for the exact same problem you mention.

  5. Provide EU location for Rackspace emails

It would be great if you could specify where the emails servers were located for the Rackspace add on.

Currently I believe they store all their email accounts in Virginia, but maybe some pressure from one of their big resellers to also provide a location in EU would be beneficial.

Some organisations would need to have their emails stored within the EU and not on US servers.

    Hi Paul,

Understand your problem but don’t think we are big enough to put the kind of pressure needed for this. Currently they only offer mailboxes in US and, for what we know, have no plans to support mailboxes in EU.

In any case, we have raised this already with our Rackspace manager and will add the feature as soon as they have it available.

  7. preconfigured hosting plan with affiliate code

Would be good if there would be a way for me to preconfigure a hosting plan to then link to for my client to sign up with using my affiliate code. Basically, I want to choose the server host, the location, and the plan size. Then have a link to that which I can send to my client.

  8. PLEASE add Email Forwarding!

All other hosts very easily allow you to add a forwarding email address. I dont see any option to add a forwarding email address. Except to buy an actual email box (which I dont need) for $1 each a month.

  9. Ability to upload or enter .env information

Be able to upload a .env file, or enter the .env key/pair values in the console. Many frameworks (such as Laravel) utilise the .env file to change configuration between dev and prod, and they should never be pushed via git.

  10. Offer Application Migration to make PHP 7 Upgrade Easier

While I'm glad to finally have the ability to upgrade to PHP 7, it's very frustrating and time-consuming to have to clone every application in order to make that happen.

That means new IP addresses, new FTP user accounts, new IP Whitelisting setup, SSL certificate setup, reconfiguring the SMTP mail add-on...and of course, DNS propagation time. What a hassle!!

Please develop an auto-migration tool to move an application (or server) to a new server, rather than clone it, keeping the abovementioned settings intact.

This would also help for Digital Ocean server downgrades -- rather than cloning to a new (smaller)…

  11. Require SSH keys for login / SFTP

Once SSH keys have been set up on a server, password login should be disabled, or at least have an option to disable it.

  12. Add www.sparkpost.com as standard email add-on

Would be great to have sparkpost as a standard email addon like mandrill and the ohter ones that are allready supported. They have a great free plan which enables up to 100 000 free emails which would benefit a lot of small scale users

  14. Add BitNinja.io security for both Server and Apps

Would be great having this installed as an option. Would protect server and all the Apps installed so we don't necessary have to go for Sucuri for each single App when clients cannot afford.

  16. Replace SugarCRM with SuiteCRM as Click & Go application

SugarCRM is not maintained any more as an OpenSource project so it is not of a big value to have it in the list. SuiteCRM is SugarCRM fork that is under active development now with many extra features and it is probably the only reasonable choice to use it as a replacement for SugarCRM.

  17. Hide server details from Team Members with limited application access

When I give limited access to team members the first console screen after they login it shows the server details - server type, disk, etc.

I want to give application access to my clients but I don't want them seeing the level of server I have them on. It would be better to either not show the server details or go straight into the application dashboard.

  18. add SMS option for two factor authentication

Two factor authentication is important but at the moment I don't really feel I have this option.

Please add SMS as an option for two factor authentication.

I prefer SMS as a two factor authentication method.

I don't really want to use google authentication anymore as I just had the IOS app lose all the settings. Plus I find it more cumbersome than SMS.

    Thanks!

  19. PTR records / Reverse DNS

DNS is important, reverse DNS is also important within production web farms. Currently it is not possible to set the PTR record for IPs on the Digital Ocean (+other?) platforms. PTR record lookups return something along the lines of: 12345-67890.cloudwaysapps.com.

Please add the ability for clients to modify this zone.

  20. WooCommerce migrate tool, failed to parse wp-config correct

After I used the migration tool to move my WooCommerce to CloudWays/Digital ocean on trial.
My wp-config.php got malformed after this
    I got this
    define('WPTEMPDIR', 'ABSPATHwp-content/uploads/');
    And it should be this
    define('WPTEMPDIR', ABSPATH . 'wp-content/uploads/');
I corrected this and now I can update my plugins, as I got an error message that the download/streaming folder does not exist or do not has the right permission.
I corrected this manually and this works now.
